Q: I have a flight to north carolina this saturday and i'm flying via united airlines. do you recommend this, or should i go for a biker helmet?

Q: would this fit an 18.5 inch head?

An 18.5 inch head is pretty small; make sure to measure about an inch above the eyebrows. The average 6 year old has a 21.5 inch head. My 7 yr old daughter and my 10 year old daughter have @ 21 inch heads. My 13 year old and I both have @ 22 inch heads. These Boxing Helmets have a nice adjustable velcro strap system on the back to accommodate a wide range of sizes. I bought smalls for my 7 & 10 yr olds. I bought my 13 yr old a medium which I can use too. They are pretty nice helmets.

Small: 52-54 cm Medium: 54-56 cm Large: 56-58 cm X-Large: 58-62-cm

Q: How is this for sparring in boxing? I'd like a headgear that will protect my nose.

This headgear has protected me from multiple headshots. I feel protected better than normal gear that does not have the face cage. Would recommend for sparring in multiple sessions.
