This book covers nothing but joint making! It covers the tools needed and shows it in a step by step manner. It has photos/pictures of *every* step for *every* joint. I highly recommend it to every person working with wood

I don't know what the other guy is talking about here. This book is fantastic! Of course it doesn't go into every single situation you could ever use a dovetail. The possibilities are endless. The book isn't intended to teach you a specific technique for a specific joint in a specific application. If you seriously can't figure it out after reading this book, you should give up. What this book DOES do is teach you the reason for why you use one joint over another, what all the parts and names for the work surfaces are, and how to cut them. It's not attempting to be "wood joinery for dummies" the author assumes some prior knowledge and instead is giving you all the tools to learn more and get better.Tons of diagrams and visualizations, short and concise descriptions, very well written. Read every little blurb. There is nothing written on these pages that isn't useful.
