so soft for felting and beautiful color

I purchased this Cheviot Wool to stuff into the dome of my RV vents for the winter time as a type of insulation, and I'm very pleased with the results. One of my criteria is that I wanted the material to be able to allow some of the natural sunlight through, which this does very well (albeit it is more of a soft filter).I used about 1/2 box (approx 8 oz) per vent dome cover to push into the open area above the fan, especially up against the lid and into the square corners. It was windy at the time I was doing this and I could feel cold air entering, as well as hear the wind blowing over the cover. The wind noise quieted significantly as well as the cold breeze diminished as I pushed the cheviot wool into the dome. With it fully installed I feel no breeze coming through the vent and I can barely hear the wind. It did very well with dampening the wind noise with the 50 MPH winds we had last night.The wool feels soft to my touch and doesn't irritate or scratch my skin. It also appears and feels clean. 5 STARS!!!!!

I used this as a base for felted pumpkins and it was really easy to work it and felted beautifully.

The media could not be loaded. Very nice and strong yet soft. Boiled with vinegar and baking soda and the slight smell came right out.

This stuff is so soft and I wasn't even aware of how clean it was until I received other wool and noticed how horrible that was... This is a clear winner with all the wool I have bought since I became obsessed with needle felting....You will not regret your purchase.
