Easy Learning Spanish Audio Course: Language Learning the Easy Way with Collins

I find this audio extremely helpful. The digital apps for language learning are only so good. I prefer the learning method designed by Collins.

Easy learning as advertised

When i bought this and saw the price i was a bit skeptical as i have bought cheap language courses before and they have been quite naff. I was pleasantly surprised when i started this course. It is easy to follow and give plenty of repetition so that you can learn words and phrases. You are encouraged to take regular breaks and not spend too long at any one session. I use this mainly in the car driving to and from work as you dont really need to write anything down. The only problem i found was that a small number of the words the people sound different to how they are actually spelt but there wasn't that many to warrant a reduction in the rating. For example "do you have" is spelt "tienes" but it sounds like the speaker is saying Deena (or DNA). That aside it was OK if you use the books as well. There are a load of CDs and written material. I was going to splash out on one of the 20-25 pound courses but im glad I didn't as aqt 6.99 inc delivery this is brilliant value for money and makes leaning spanish easier than you think.

On the whole this is very good. Most of it is clearly spoken and useful. But some of the lessons seem to jump from well-paced with graded steps in learning to sudden jumps. Some of the early sections even seem a little laboured. And then, suddenly, we have native speakers speaking quickly with hitherto unexplained vocabulary. I guess that's a bit like being in a Spanish-speaking country. At a couple of points I thought the lessons were aimed more at people resident in a Spanish-speaking country rather than as a tourist. However, I found this really useful and by far better than other basic Spanish CDs I've listened to and it's certainly taken me on from the very basic language I had. A good buy.
