Exactly as I needed. Works great and easily installed. Bought for my CSM.

First, this device works as advertised. There are connection instuctions in English (simple). Battery replacement is easy although lasts a very long time. The sensor is more sensitive than they say, maybe 1/2 - 3/4 inch and that is with their little button magnet. The stronger the magnet the greater the distance. A great deal since the hall sensor or the counter is worth the price alone. The provided sensor doesn't have to be used. Any switch, of any sort, will work. It is also very nice that they include that small bracket that holds the sensor and the sensor has a long threaded neck, with two nuts, that allow adjust the distance from the magnet after installation. They don't mention but to reset the counter, you can used an attached switch or just press the pause button a couple of times. See the attached picture for my application where I count the revolutions of the rear tire of my lawn tractor (I just snapped the button magnet on the tire rim (two magnets would give two counts per revolution). It bounces around quite a bit but that doesn't phase the sensor. They provide a bracket for mounting the counter or you can use a another magnet. Just remember that this is not a high speed counter, maybe 10-20 counts per second or 600-1200 rpm and depends to some extent on the strength of magnet and sensing distance. In addition, it only counts up since the sensor can't tell whether the magnet is coming or going.

Excellent product

My rating would be about 3.9. Functionally this counter works beautifully, and I'm using it as a simple rep counter replacement for the monitor that died long ago on my 20 year old rower. However, the need for several improvements is obvious to me. First of all the stranded wires, although shielded in a tube-like jacket, are fragile because they are made up of only a few twisted strands. They would probably not withstand more than a few connect-disconnect actions to the screw down terminals on the counter itself, nor any repeated movement of the counter. My first thought was to add some fork type lugs to make the connection more secure, but the length of the included wire is only about 30" to begin with. So the first thing was to cut a stouter cable off one of the many retired "wall wart" adapters in my junk collection and splice then secure it on to the product wire with enough electrical tape. That gave me a much thicker bunch of strands to twist and then secure to the counter. Next, regarding the little button magnet that comes with the product: Although fairly strong, it's only useful if it's applied to ferrous metal where it will stick. I needed to attach it to a non-metal seat. The magnet would be much more useful if it had flanges with screw holes for attachment to other surfaces. Once again, junk to the rescue: I had saved magnets from several old computer hard drives that I had taken apart. These magnets are very strong and have several easy attachment points. Replacing the button magnet with one of these easily triggers the switch at a half inch distance. One last thought about the included button magnet: Very easily swallowed so keep it away from any toddlers who like putting shiny objects in their mouths.

Works well, even when the magnet moves slowly past the sensor.Price is right.Having it resettable is nice.

The media could not be loaded. Hooked it up to the power head of our resin pump to count strokes, this little guy is a beast! Battery life so far is impressive, been running about 4 hours a day for the last month with no sign of failure. Works great with 50’ of 18 Awg wire to the Hall effects sensor.Going to purchase another one for our other pump, and would happily replace them if they ever go down.It’s just switch activated, you could replace the Hall effects sensor with a micro switch or anything. Just close the circuit and it counts.The one complaint I could have is that the power/reset labels on the front are hard to read since they’re molded into the housing and the same color, throw a little paint or dirt on it to clear it up:)5/5 worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. The original analog sheet counter on this old printing press broke, and to replace it would of been about $200. I was able to easily install and utilize the $15 digital counter to count the sheets! Great product and easy to use!
