Was worried about negative reviews when I ordered this device to help my mums terminal care. I use it to suck up thick oral secretions as mum in unable to çough or swollow effectively. The device is well constructed. It comes with 2 suction catheters. You simply place the catheter on the end of the device and apply continous pumping action to generate negative pressure. and place the end of the catheter in the mouth to suck secretions. The tube has side openings at the tip which means suction is best only when whole tip is submerged so I have just cut the tip so that suction is at the end only and this generates sufficient suction. Ideally single use tubes but I wash tube and cannister with warm water and soap throughly and re use. I have found it very useful. Alternatives would be electric suction devices which cost £200 plus. Highly recommend if you are in similar situation as myself. No reason why it cannot be used for non medical purposes.

Absolute waste of money !Useless for suction

All the instructions in Chinese. Very dissapointed.

No instructions, also could do with an improvement in design, increase the bottle length by 30 mm so the product can stand up vertical. Cost about 2pence in product and tooling, plastic manufacturing and design has been my business for the last 50 years.

Absolutely waste of money,I have a disabled daughter,rather than suck what it's supposed to do it blows air into her mouth which I find totally dangerous

I liked the product very much, great value for money and the suction is quite strong. The pump does the job it is supposed to do.

My husband is poorly and can’t manage normal secretions. We literally couldn’t go out without this. Works really well and quite subtle with no noise.
