Wonderful Collection of Stories about Koko and Yum Yum
Wonderful little book with stories about Koko and Yum Yum, the siamese cats of James Qwilleran from the Cat Who Series. It's told from Jim Qwilleran's perspective and describes the adorable and sometimes infuriating antics of the two siamese cats that he adopted when they were orphaned from two different households and situations. An entertaining book for anyone who is interested in The Cat Who Series.

Cute short stories but sloppy editing
This is a cute and brief collection of shortstories about Koko and Yum Yum, the Siamese cats that feature prominently in Lillian Jackson Braun’s “The Cat Who” series of mystery books. There are no new tales but it is nice to have this collection of significant events in the lives of the two cats. However, I have never seen a book as lacking in rudimentary editing as this book. There is literally not a single apostrophe in the whole book so “we’ll” comes out “well” and every possible permutation. And I don’t recall seeing any commas either. Additionally, in many places, there are no spaces at all between several adjacent words, so you have to stop and try to figure out what words are buried in that 18-letter or longer string of letters. I’ve never seen this type of sloppiness anywhere; it borders on unreadable. Hence the 3-stars.

Want to learn more about Koko and YumYum?
The foreword of this book contains a brief description of Qwilleran and his two cats, Koko and Yum Yum.This book is comprised of thoughts and impressions as written in Qwilleran's daily journal. He begins with his adoption of Koko and proceeds to Yum Yum. Fans of the Cat Who... books will enjoy this trip down memory lane and revisiting places, events and cats Qwilleran has encountered. Also enjoyable are happenings not included in the series. As a cat lover I am drawn to books featuring cats and have often been disappointed. Because this book is short potential readers can see if they would be interested in the series without a large investment of time or money. Qwilleran notes that Yum Yum begins her distinctive N-N-Now about the time the women's movement began. This is because Lilian Jackson Braun wrote three books before 1969 and did not write another until 1986. Through the magic of fiction Qwilleran who was forty-something is now fifty-something and the cats are a vigorous middle age more than forty years later.

A wonder tribute to the Koko and Yum Yum
If you are a fan of the Cat Who series, this book is a wonderful way to let you trip down Memory Lane with some of Koko and Yum Yum's antics. I, for one, loved every book of this series and was so saddened when the last one was finished, I welcomed this and Short and Tall Tales to recall the sweetness that was mixed in the mysteries. Some authors should live forever and I wish Lilian Jackson Braun could have been one. The loveable duo and their "servant" (Qwill) remind us all how they all came to be family in this final series of short stories. It is a very fast read and one that definitely brought a smile back in the re-visit thru their lives together beginning "Down Below" thru their adventures in Moose County.

Liked it, but...
Hard to read because of the lack of apostrophes contractions and possessive and because of the many words not separated by spaces but run together. This kindle book was definitely NOT professionally proofread

Qwill tells it like it is
A quick lighthearted read. Ms. Braun's rascally character, Jim Qwilleran, shares his thoughts on how things are. Recommended.

What a waste!
You would need to be a far bigger fan than me to enjoy this one. It's just a repeating of incidents from the main books with some dreary limericks. Also the chapters are very, VERY short. There're as many blank pages and illustrations as "story". I like the main books but I read this one in under 30 minutes, not impressed.

Private life of The Cat who
I am a dedicated fan of Lilian Jackson Braun and her adorable Siamese cats, and must now have all her books, good and solid crime stories which are easy to follow, with interesting twists as well

Charming 'tales'
This little book was pleasant to read. Although some of the stories had appeared in the Cat Who... books it was nice to find them in one collection and smile at the recollections of the earlier books.

A good collection of anecdotal tales
Short anecdotal tales with plenty of humour. Not quite what I thought it was, but a good book nevertheless.
