Women's DayLite Hiker Fusion Boot - Lightweight Hiking, Everyday Boot

Love these! Let me keep the good flexibility in my feet and still protected my feet while hiking in rough ground.

This shoe had the fit perfect on my feet, super comfortable. I did not keep these though because the laces were too long and because there is so much fabric around the ankle, the metal latches didnt function well because they were almost touching.

I loved my Daylite Hikers for several days. Then the trouble started. Even after two coats of Nikwax waterproofing, they are as waterproof as a kitchen colander. Walking in wet grass results in soggy socks. Don't even think about stepping in a puddle. After a few weeks of moderate use, the fabric has started fraying in multiple places (on my boots and two other family members). Whatever the material is, it is a terrible choice for a boot. Find something less porous and more durable. This is my last purchase of anything from Xero Shoes. My search for a quality minimalist boot continues.

I liked their sandals, but their shoes imo are made low quality to keep the price cheaper than better brands. You need 1 and a half size bigger than the sandal. After wearing for 4 hours, the seam was rubbing my little toe, so I won't be wearing them long. It seems the toe box is a cross between the original square box Altra used to make and the regular toe box of normal shoes, which defeats the whole purpose of barefoot. If you need a different size they will send them free shipping, but for some weird reason they will wait until the 10th, or in my case the 11th business day, so expect a bit over 2 weeks for that to happen. It was the same 2 week wait when I sent sandals for an exchange too. I won't be buying anymore of the shoes, and the return process has soured me on even bothering to buy the sandals that aren't bad. Yea you save $$ on the day hiker, but I need my feet not to hurt. Don't tell me to buy the men's if they are to narrow, make them the barefoot square toe. I'm also disappointed in how the Altra brand has started to make the toe box more pointed like everyday shoes so I have to buy clown shoes for width. Oh well, guess it's time to start searching again.

I am an avid hiker and these DayLite Hikers are perfect for me. They are so light and comfortable... yet they have really good grip. The great thing is that after a long hike..my feet are not aching!

I ordered directly from Xeroshoes and at that time their website said to order 1 size up. My other shoes (40 pair or so) are size 7, so I ordered an 8. Still too short. Sent them back to exchange and noticed their website now says to order 1/2 size larger instead of 1 size larger. At that point there was no telling what I'd end up with. It cost $4.99 to receive the hikers plus $9.99 to return them. If you want to exchange instead of return, the shipping back to them is free, but they take a long time to process it. That may be fine if you have time to go back & forth, but I ended up buying another brand.
