NIBCO U5801 2 HXH COUPLING ABS

I ordered 2 inch couplings. Look at the pictures. On what planet is that a 2 inch coupling? It's even labeled as 2 inch; even the embossed stamping in the plastic says 2"! But it is NOT 2 inches! They didn't just accidentally grab the wrong part - they literally manufactured it wrong. It's only a dollar, so I won't bother with a return. If I could get the week of tolerating a smelly leak under my RV back - I'd happily accept that. All week I dealt with the smell of leaking gray water under my RV and kept telling myself, "just a little longer; the part is coming.." Then it finally gets here, and it's as wrong as wrong can be! Come on, people! Really? It's a little piece of plastic! How hard is that??

Good quality. The actual dimensions for the 3" are 3 1/2" diameter on the inside (I.D.), 4" outside (O.D.) and 3 3/16" long.For the confused reviewers, this is a coupling meant to go on the outside of a 3" pipe, which would be 3 1/2" on the outside (O.D.) and 3" inside (I.D.)

Ran over the inspection port for my sewer system with the lawn mower. I got the cap and needed the coupling to attach the port to the pipe in the ground. Worked like a charm.

Received my coupler today and learned the hard way that some people size them by length instead of diameter. That is to say this “3 inch” coupler is 3 inches LONG. The diameters are 4” OD and 3.5” ID. Yea you read that correctly.Who the heck sizes by height…and doesn’t even mention the diameter in the listing? NIBCO does.Who wishes he had read the reviews before ordering? I do.

what can be said about a black ring of plastic? It is doing a fine job of holding 2 abs section of pipe together. I'm just glad I could find it, because all the trailers in this neck of the woods are gone.

Used it to join two sewage pump discharge pipes. Could not afford a leak. Worked flawless. Use the correct joint cement for abs pipe

Ordered 4. I got 1 - 4" and 3 - 2". The 2" ones have sticks that say 4". Photo attached look at the tape measure and then the sticker.
