Tough & highly recommended.
Ordered this because was looking for something to secure my TATTU 3 D-CELL flashlight WITH the Nite Ize Grip N' Clip on it & NOTHING that met my requirements exists ANYWHERE...except THIS little beauty. This was delivered before the due delivery date, & as you can see by the photos, it fits very well. The retaining clip on the Grip N' Clip I found left my flashlight swinging to & fro. This Holster secures the whole set up very comfortably. The main 'sheath' only just wraps around my flashlight with the Grip N' Clip on, but the winner is the fact that the holster is adjustable. Remember - my flashlight is not a Maglight, but the holster still works very well. I need two hands to get the flashlight out of the holster, but that is my fault because I have a Grip N' Clip on it. I think I can safely assume, without that added cover, you can release your flashlight & withdraw it with one hand very easily. Putting it back may be a fiddle though. Overall, a fantastic piece of kit that sits comfortably, securely & is extremely well made & tough. I recommend absolutely.

Good Fenix TK41 Holster
I bought a Fenix TK41 flashlight a while back and have been trying to find a good holster for it ever since. This holster is the only one I know of that even fits that light. The quality is standard Maxpedition quality, which is to say very tough and well thought out. I do use this holster as a duty holster for my TK41 and it has held up quite well so far. The only thing that I didn't like about this holster is that I had to remove the cover flap on it because it wouldn't fit over the large reflector of the flashlight. I don't count this against Maxpedition as they are the only ones who even carry a holster that fits the TK41 at all. It did take a bit of fine adjusting to get the flashlight in and out of the holster quickly without having the flashlight fall all the way through. This holster allows me to comfortably run and gun with my TK41 on my belt with out having it slap against my leg or fly off (I used to use a flashlight ring that barely fit and swung around a lot). If you have a TK41 and you are in the market for a holster I recommend that you buy this one.

Good product, but only for the right flashlight
This holster is well built, but it requires a cylindrical body and a larger head to hold the light securely. I'd prefer the 4" and 5" sheaths Maxpedition makes because they more fully enclose the light, but for larger lights (such as a 3 or 4 D cell Maglite) you have to go with this. The holster is very adjustable for different diameters and lengths. That means lots of velcro to adjust at first, but then you can adjust how tightly you want the light held. It has both horizontal and vertical velcro attachment straps on the back, so you can attach it to your belt, pack or sling with ease. No PALS webbing, however.I purchased this holder for my Fenix LD41, and it just isn't compatible with that light's body design. No fault of either product.

its pretty decent. Ive mounted to my vest and so ...
Works as described, didnt blow me away but for a universal holder, its pretty decent. Ive mounted to my vest and so far its helped remove unwanted bulky flashlights from my belt or pants, which is the real plus.

This is an odd one
This sheath is a little weird. It is fully customizable. I bought mine to MOLLE my Husqvarna hatchet to my bug out bag. This is about the only sheath that you can use to MOLLE a hatchet to a pack without going through the hassle of having a Kydex sheath custom made. The unit is made of Maxpedition's typical quality. On a side note, I have a few other Maxpedition products and here's my two cents: Maxpedition is decent but WAY overrated. They have slightly better than average quality, but all of their products that I own were made in Taiwan. I must admit that for the price you're paying I was expecting the items to be made in America. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I was expecting more. I paid $63 plus shipping for a Proteus pack to use as a high risk warrant service gunshot wound care kit. It is a small pack (9"x6"x3"). Really? $65 dollars for a Taiwanese 9" bag? Thanks Maxpedition.
