Avocado Tree Seedling and Pit Growing Soil, Soil for Transferring Sprouted Pits to Soil, Potting Soil for Avocados, Plant Seedlings, 4qt Bag

This is the first time I’ve ever tried growing an avocado tree from a seed and the ones I’ve seen have been very tall with a few leaves at the top. I planted my seed in this soil and it looks great so apparently it likes it. The soil was packaged nicely and not dried out at all. My tree is still getting new leaves so apparently the soil was a hit as well as the location. I have plenty of soil left for when it is time to repot and so far it hasn’t dried out at all.

I really thought it was bull crap when I saw this soil JUST for avocados. But my pits I started in september 2022 are over a foot high and it's Jan of 2023!!! I went from water starting the pits right into this soil.

So happy I bought this soil. I transferred my avocado pit from water to this soil and now the plant is growing like crazy!!

I’m completely disgusted and distressed. I bought this soil a few months back and about a month ago began to notice signs of a serious fungal infection. Now the remaining soil in the bag is completely infected and overgrown with spores. Look at the bag in the photo!! I am so sensitive to mold and fungus and my breathing is seriously impacted. I have 6 expensive plants using this soil and I’m devastated. Peroxide treatments aren’t even working. I’ll need to repot all of them, break up the root balls, soak in peroxide water, treat with fungicide, and pray they kick the infection. Absolutely do not buy this soil if you care about your health and your plants.

Grew my avocados from seed. Transitioning them into the soil from water was a success. My plants are thriving! Fast shipping too!

Beautiful moist soil

It has been probably 25 years since I tried to sprout an Avocado pit, I remember it being relatively easy to do. But I CANNOT get the pits from todays Avocados to sprout!?! Do they engineer the plant these days so that they will not germinate? I’m sure this soul is fine but I wouldn’t waste your money. I honestly don’t think todays Avocado growers will allow people to grow them ! Really!
