The wiring harness was not correct for a 2022 e-450. The connectors fit but the wires were in the wrong spots. It was not to difficult to de-pin the connector and move the wires to fit the factory harness on the truck. Other than that, the installation was easy enough.

I really like this product because of the extra 'bonus' features, extra pulsed braking - great for keeping a trailer behind you in the snow, or adverse road conditions, the ability to change screen color to make it easier to read, and probably the best features, the ability to just quickly jump from trailer to trailer and the settings are all there, and I am ready to roll. No new programming each time, no 'tasting the steering wheel' or checking how well the shoulder straps on the seatbelts work.The Ford harness plugged right in, and made life much easier- definitely recommended as well.I have a new 33' long camper with electronic brake control, and after my old much shorter camper I was worried about braking. The brake controller made it a breeze, if I see deer along the road I am confident that I can get slowed down quickly!It does cost a bit more, but if you are pulling multiple trailers, a few of the extra 'frills' are worth it like the extra pulse brake feature.Our drive home with the new camper was great, you don't need the pulse braking with regular road conditions and not driving like a maniac (too high a speed to be hauling a trailer). My wife fell asleep on the way back the braking was so smooth, before we were always getting nudged forward with our other camper. If something ever happened to the controller I would definitely get another one!

I haven't had a chance to try it yet because it came with the wrong harness (3034), it should have come with harness 3036 for my 2009 Ford F150. I installed the unit and tried to exchange the harnesses but I'm told I have to send everything back and make a new purchase. Since the harness and the unit are packaged separately (the unit comes with a pigtail with a plug in one end and loose ends at the other end for hard wiring), the custom harnesses have a plug on both ends the fit particular vehicles I find this particular rule strange and not customer friendly. I went ahead and ordered the right harness for my vehicle for an extra $20 so that I don't have to take my dash apart again and re-package everything ship it back and re-order. I have a 3034 harness for sale, fits Ford trucks pre-'09.

Great product. However when they sent this to me I was sent a super duty ford harness which was no big deal called tech supportand was told instead of sending it back to just to move the white wire to #3 and the red wire to #12 and that fixed the problemjust had a mini screwdriver to push in to release tabs to pull out wires. So If you get one for a ford f150 and your screenflashes and your dashboard does funny things it is the wrong harness . had to clear a code also after it put my check engine light onbut was all in all a very easy fix . very good product

The brake control works good. The cable that came with it for my Ford 2013, was ether missed wired or incorrect, for it loaded down the electronics of the instrument cluster. Did some strange things until the Ford dealership (I think) did a reset. They claim to not find anything wrong. I bought another connector cable from a local auto parts store. Compared the connectors and found them different. Compared with what wiring diagrams that I could find determine it should be okay. Wired the replacement cable and everything works correctly.

Easy install and works well. Very pleased.

When I received this product, it came with the wrong harness for my truck, but because I needed to use it right away, I made it work with a small modification. I came back from my trip and forgot all about it. BTW, this is a great controller, lots of great features, like the ability to make increase/decrease braking on the go with a push of a button.A few days later, I got an email from the seller asking if I was satisfied with my purchase. I explained the situation and they promptly sent me the right harness. I highly recommend this seller

Decided to upgrade my brake controller because I was having problems with a wheel locking up on a new toy hauler. Installed the Tekonsha controller and the problem went away. I like the memory feature, as I haul several different trailers. I would like to see a feature to turn the light off on controller screen when not in use. It is very bright, even on low and can be distracting at night. Overall a good product and would recommend to others.
