I needed one m3 x 20 stainless roll pin to replace one lost on an inherited tool. This assortment provided a good selection to ensure I had the correct fit if my measuring or manufacturing tolerances were inaccurate. i needn't have been concerned - the m3 x 20 was spot on.The magnet test showed the steel was not very magnetic; this is a good DIY sign that the steel was stainless but I can't test which grade of stainless steel it is. Only time will tell to see if it rusts.The plastic tray securely stored the pins with no spilling between the divisions; NB, some of the pins are deliberately mixed as there are insufficient divisions to store all of the sizes in their own compartment.The pin was a tight fit in the m3 hole, benefiting from a slight pinch with pliers to taper the diameter. This allowed easy insertion but looked "crushed" when fully installed. A simple tap with the correct sized roll pin punch resulted in a clean & round finish. Job done.I now have 279 spare pins which will no doubt find a use in my workshop and am really glad I invested in the correct roll pin punch set a couple of years ago - don't use a parallel punch as it will damage the pins.
