A lot of patterns to choose from
I like everything I've seen so far flipping through the book. I made a couple of random projects in this book and found the pattern instructions to be clear and easy. The projects remind me of the 365 flip up desk calendars, but for much less money. With so many patterns to choose from, I am very happy with this purchase. I purchased this book in kindle format and read it on my kindle fire. Many of the projects have color photos, but not all of them. These are smaller projects so I am ok with that, but wanted to share that information.

Lots of Fun
This crochet book is a very good reference if you're looking for a particular stitch but not sure how to obtain the look or you don't know what the stitch is called. There are textured patterns and patterns that are really simple and easy to crochet. The book provides many excellent ideas for crocheting different products for yourself or to sell.

Didn't keep it
I deleted it after I looked at it. I felt the patterns were really old styles and not what I was looking for.

NOT FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS
I have only skimmed my Kindle copy so far. Here are my initial impressions. I would not recommend these patterns for beginners. It's suited more for experienced beginners or intermediate crocheters who read patterns with ease.Price was $0.00; I would value at no more than $3.00. This book seems to be a collection of previously-published patterns that I've seen on the Web or in vintage crochet publications. I downloaded because the book was free.Advantage: I can access this book via Kindle app when I can't connect to the Net.About the photos:1. Since many of these patterns are similar to patterns found on the Web, one could Google the pattern name for possible images.2. Images may be misleading. Example: November 9 Infinity Scarf (photo does not agree with instructions).I may revise this review at a later date8/18/16: Edited to correct error.

Great book for beginners.
Enjoyed going through the book. There was something to do each day. The only problem was that there was not a picture with each project. Being a beginner in crochet I need pictures to know what things look like and what color of yarn to use. There are lots of beginner projects to do.

Pattern a day for a year
Different things to make for each day, some with pictures. Need to have link pictures for all patterns. From wash cloths to afgans

Very, very few pictures to use as reference for the many, many patterns.
Sad. It would have been a great addition to any crochet reference library-if there were pictures to show what the instructions were for! Rated it 2 because of the sheer amount of work author must of done.PS: Please reprint with pictures or photos to illustrate what is going (or should be) on.

Easy to read
I impressed that the collection is really huge. A lot of different crochet patterns and step by step instructions. Easy to read.

Don’t be disappointed
1.Page 67. February 22Bead Stripped poach? Should it say bead striped pouch? There is no photo either so I don’t know what this is supposed to be. I even checked what is being called the “table of contents “ for the item and it was spelled the same way.2. This book is not suitable for beginners. I say this for three reasons. The first is that there is no explanation of basic stitches. The second is that there is no difficulty rating given for the patterns so a beginner would not be able to easily find patterns that are suitable. The third reason is that there are patterns that are not even crochet in this book. They are tatting which is a completely different craft and uses a needle not a hook.Things to note: Technically the table of contents meets the definition of table of contents but it is completely useless as a person is not going to look for a pattern by searching a date. They will search under the type of item being created. If you want to see all the patterns for dishcloths they should be grouped together. Instead you would actually have to know what date a dishcloth is listed. This would have you looking through the entire book every time you were looking for something. Also worth noting is that some patterns are for Tunisian crochet which might also confuse someone who is not familiar with that type of crochet and not knowing that it is done with a different type of hook. There are plenty of patterns without photos. All in all this book is really not what it says it is and even though there are some really nice patterns in the book they are likely to be overshadowed with disappointment and the only way to enjoy this book is if you are completely bored and don’t really care about what you are making as you just want to crochet something. This book does have a lot of patterns and although I have not tried any of them they look decent.

I was hoping it would give instructions on some of the stitches it doesn’t even explain what the abbreviation mean. Pattern I understand are easy to follow but a lot I have to google
