Yeah I was surprised but they really do work and perfectly. I use my Cricut Joy very rarely but I wasn't about to purchase their $$$ exclusive pens. I did purchase their Smart Vinyl though and that's where I used these pens, to make one label for homemade salsa lol. At first I was nervous because the Smart Vinyl was so shiny and I thought the pens (Sharpie Ultra Fine Point ElectroPop) would slip around and not even write, but it wrote perfectly with no missed lines. I slipped the pink sleeve on to the pen and popped it right into the Joy.Just be sure to give it a second to dry after it finishes to write! I hate the fact that the Cricut Joy cannot "color in" anything so of course you'll have to draw outlines of what you want and use the pens to color it in. In fact, that's the only concern I had because coloring things in, the paper is slippery and you wonder if the color will even stick but it does.Just make sure you read the instructions on little cards that come with this item, and your project will be perfect!

Love that these allow me to use Sharpies I already have opposed to buy Cricut Joy Pens. Great product!
