Impressed. Better than Eastman. - Updated
I had an Eastman Outdoors fry oil pump for about 10 years. I thought it was a great invention for those of us who fry. So far this is better. It always bothered me that so much oil remained in the pot after the syphon tension broke. This one keeps pumping oil until only about .5 inches of oil are left in the bottom. As I tilt the pot, this allows me to get nearly all the oil. There is only 1/8" of oil left in the bottom when I am done and the pot is back upright. Far less than was left behind with my old pump. This one has good throughput. I read about it being fragile. Only if you are abusing it. It is well built. I would recommend it and would buy it again. I have had it for several months now and it is doing very well for me.

Just what I needed
I have only used the pump a couple of times. This is for home use and it really worked well. I am not sure how it would work on a larger scale but it's perfect for my use.

Not worth it.
This product cannot remove all the oil from the pot, it really struggles if the oil is less than 3 inches deep, and cannot remove any when there's still an inch left in the pot.

Excellent Pump
The Tera Pump oil filter pump was easy to use. I had already used the pump 5 times since I got the pump with no issues. As long the pump is cleaned after each use, it should long for awhile. So far, I would recommend this product based on my experience.

Works pretty good.
Not the fastest, but does a good job filtering after frying a turkey.

Garbage
Garbage. Used it once. Doesn't even work anymore. Motor still runs but doesn't suction. Just tried using again 2 days after return deadline. Save your money.

Good piece of gear
Good piece of gear. Make sure you have fresh batteries, and it will make quick work of filtering and transferring your used fry oil to storage container(s). Simple design is expected to last through several turkey frying seasons. Clean-up was a simple. I filled one side of my double kitchen sink with soapy (water, dish liquid and a little grease-lighting) water and drained it via the pump over to the other side. A little soapy wipe-down of a few external surfaces and clean-up was finished. (Do NOT immerse the motor and battery-portion of the pump as directed)
