"Ride Big" answers the questions about giving riders confidence that I was hoping it would. Haime, who works with a lot of top equestrians, digs deep at the right issues and in doing so enabled me to think about my riding on a level that I hadn't been able to before.He addresses a lot of the modern traps that can compromise a rider's confidence and also peppers the book with quizzes that forces the reader to take stock of themselves from a psychological standpoint. This is a worthy read that gained a spot on my bookshelf as a resource. This book is a game changer. I couldn't put it down. I can't say enough good things about the powerful messages within. I will forever be indebted to John Haime for helping me Ride Big!When I first picked the book up at the beginning of the year, my confidence was circling the drain. I had chills reading the stories of the best riders in the world that had struggled to overcome similar confidence crises.Fast forward a few months. I've applied the concepts in the book this show season with incredible success - I've focused on myself, riding inside out... and great results continue to come. High scores and consistent wins. Best of all - I'm a happy rider focused on how lucky I am to be out there with my beautiful horse!There is no quick fix to repairing confidence but, Ride Big gave me the tools to chase away the negative voice in my head and replace it with a confident one that helps me focus and rise (and ride) to the occasion.

This book is so good for equestrians, but also for anyone, non equestrians included, struggling with self confidence. Great read, we definitely needed this in our industry!

As an amateur equestrian who struggles with confidence, I highly recommend this book. So many things I didn't know come to light in this book. Not only is it well-written and helpful through great ideas and exercises but also entertaining hearing about stories from famous riders, what they do and their struggles. I know it's early in the season, but I have been using the lessons from this book and find they are helping how I ride and I am becoming more confident.

The media could not be loaded.  This is so inspiring, is such a concrete way to think about feelings and fears. My mind started to shift after the first few pages. Definitely recommend!!!
