Solid for the price.
I bought these two years ago to add a second gauge to my cheap grill from the big blue place. You all know the one. They were a direct replacement, looked great, and were within 15 degrees either way for accuracy, which I'm not sure why you'd trust a ten dollar thermometer if you're looking for +/- 5 degrees accuracy or something like that, but I put them in the oven at 350 with a proper oven thermometer, and one read 340 and the other 355.I smoke meat occasionally on my giant Oklahoma barbeque grill smoker thing and that's the only reason I wanted two temperature gauges, and I also take a chance on penny pinching once in a while, and I'm glad I did. They give me a good estimate of temperature zones, which is better than guessing, and they look decent and feel well made. I forget to cover my grill all the time, I'm really bad at it, and one gauge after a year started having moisture in the dial. No big deal to me, it was still reading ok.Two years later the moisture prone gauge is reading all over the place, but they're $20 and lasted two years, so I'll buy them again. That's only $5 a year each, which is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. I think if you remember to cover your grill you'll do just fine with these.Remember, if you're looking at these, you're probably a home gamer.

Works as intended
Had one of these for probably 15 years, recently needed to change it out for a new one. This works perfect, temperature is accurate for my smoker/grill

nice themometer
Nice themometer. Easy to adjust the temeperature accuracy.. Only down side is the large hole you need to drill out in order to mount unit.

Works perfect
Perfect replacement for the factory Oklahoma joes temp gauges.

Fit Traeger perfectly
Couldn't justify the Traeger unit price, this one has the big mounting barrel worked perfectly. So far at low temps appears to be very accurate.

Minor flaws aside, I would recommend them.
I used these to replace the OEM thermometers that came on my Charbroil grill. The Charbroil thermometers are the definition of "you get what you pay for" and were not accurate once since buying the grill. Anyways, these were recommended by... someone... I can't recall. Not important. The low down: These things work pretty well. They're not the most sophisticated or high-tech, but... they're $20 for two of them. For the penny-pinchers, that's a pretty good deal. There's only two real issues I have with them: 1) I had to buy a special drill bit to install them, and 2) they gather moisture.Installation *after* buying the drill bit was a breeze, but... having to buy extra tools wasn't really part of the plan and "drives" the cost up a little. I got to buy a new tool, in a sense, so no complaints there, but that's not everyone's agenda. Anyways, I had to drill roughly 3/4" holes into my grill to install them. That's not that big of a deal because if you're grill already has thermometers on it, there's already holes piloted for you. Put a layer of something in the grill to catch the metal shards and presto-change-o... new thermometers.Moisture retention is, so far, annoying at worst. It hasn't effected the performance of the thermometers at all so far (Purchased in June 22. Now September 22). The water does eventually evaporate out with time and heat though, and, to reiterate, so far it has had zero effect on their performance. That said, it's certainly not a pro.Beyond those two gripes though, these things have been great. My smoke game has improved thanks to them, but the real help was with grilling chicken and burgers and such. I'm giving them 4 stars basically because of what I mentioned above (the moisture, mostly), but I would still recommend these things... especially if you bought a cheaper grill (maybe Weber's OEM stuff is better than Charbroil. I don't know, but Charbroil is more of a bargain brand grill anyways). For $20 though, these are a solid upgrade to a bargain grill, or a grill that doesn't have thermometers on it at all.If they break, I'll update, but so far they've taken drought and hard and heavy rain like champs. I would recommend them.
