I’ve never been more satisfied
I’ve never been more satisfied in a product in the last several years! The cost is very reasonable; I couldn’t fabricate a rack for much less than I paid for this one. It is very well fabricated, the welds are seamless. The tube structure makes it strong. The rack is extremely modifiable. It makes a work truck look good. It has a lot of functionality. Installed on a ’16 Toyota Tacoma. Bolted rear supports just before the bed as it starts to curve slightly, therefore it’s not ideally installed to the furthest rear of the bed rail. Only used 2 outer bolts on each support; the inside metal bed rail is not there on this type of bed for all the bolts to be installed. The rack is well supported and solid with the 2 bolts in each support. To install the bolts, the inner fender wells and the 2 in-bed storage boxes should be removed. The best way to remove the inner fender well grommets is to slice the heads off and punch them out. The grommets can’t be saved. I suggest you buy the Fender Grommets from Amazon (30 ea for $12) at the same time you order this rack. My truck bed is 5’, and coupled with the amount I had to shorten the rack due to the bed rail curve, the rack had to be modified (Shorten), which was easily done by cutting the slide sections shorter. It was an easier install than I had originally thought. For the rails over the cab, a 2nd person would’ve been ideal. Again, I’ve never been more satisfied in a product in the last several years!

Easy to install, lightweight, seems sturdy
This rack has been on my 2010 Toyota Tundra for about a week, and I can't help but smile at how sharp it looks every time I see it! Assembly and installation were simple, and I did it almost entirely by myself in a couple hours.I wanted a rack that was lightweight enough that I could remove it from time to time. The custom-fabricated steel racks I've had in the past were too heavy for this, so I looked at aluminum ones this time. But all were either incredibly expensive or seemed to have major issues. But this steel rack only weighs a little over 100 lbs and was priced very affordably, so I decided to give it a shot. Very happy that I did. Rather than drilling, I used two sets of the AA-Racks P-AC(4)-09 Aluminum C-Clamps to attach it to my bed, which seem more than adequate.Only two minor concerns: the cross-member tubes don't seem to fit well inside of the outer sleeve tubes, with a lot of slop, though this was mostly fixed when I tightened everything down. And the junction plates where everything attaches together are rather un-aerodynamic, which will increase drag and possibly wind noise. But so far, I haven't noticed a significant amount of noise. For now, I'm going to enthusiastically recommend this rack!

Great product!
I have been looking for a rack for my F150 for a couple of months! I love this product! It is extremely sturdy and looks great! I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. The price was on the low end and very much worth it. I would highly recommend this product.

Toyota Tacoma Bed Liner is the Bed not a liner.
This rack is sturdy and somewhat easy to assemble. This issue that last it a star were the instructions. It shows that I can put a nut on the underside of the lip of my Toyota's bed. I have tried everyway to get under that lip that I can. The bed liner, is not a liner, it is the "composite" that makes up the entire bed. If you remove that, you remove the whole bed of the truck. After 3 days of trying different things and buying a camper shell hold down system that connects to the rail inside the bed, I ended up using lag screws instead of a bolt and nut. I think that Toyota started using the composite back in 2007. It is a truck issue, not a rack issue. I just wish the instructions showed you other options.

Put it to the Test soon enough!
Bought the AA Racks Model X31 for my 1995 Tacoma. I did have to make some cuts in the bed liner to use the AA Rack aluminum C clamps (purchased seperately). The rack section that mounts to the bed was very easy to install. It was adjustable to accommodate bed width and length. I have a Craftsman aluminum truck box and it fits in between the bed rail mounts, though I did have to move the box forward about 4 inches. The top portion of the rack has picture instructions included but doesn't explain the order of the pieces to assemble. I did use a 13mm socket for the nuts and a 15mm socket for the bolts. With that being said it can be done by 1 person, but 2 people would be way easier. Once everyrhing was togerher I tightened all the nuts and bolts and it feels really solid. I do plan on using this rack for carrying 2x8x16 boards, so it will be put to the weight carrying test.A couple things I want to note, the packaging came with all the nuts and bolts needed plus a few extras but I was missing several washers. And the cardboard packaging looked like it was tossed around pretty good. There was a good size hole in the bigger box and the bars were all bubble wrapped but the a few bars had deep scratches and a small dent. Considering this is going to be used for hauling lumber and piping I'm pretty sure the small dent and scratches will blend in with time and usage. After I use this for carrying the lumber I'll update this review.Update: Went to the big box store and bought 5qty of 2"x8"x16' pressure treated boards that were pretty wet. Also bought a 4qty. of 2"x4"x8' pressure treated lumber. The rack held the 5 long boards plus 2 of the short boards. As far as I can tell the rack handled all the weight like a champ. I didn't see any flex or twisting of the rack. I think it did well!

X35 + X39 Not rated for over 800# (listed as 1000#)
The seller listed this in their product specifications as having a 1000# capacity. I opened the instructions and it is clearly stated that this is 800# capacity. It really destroyed the trust in this seller. I would seek to buy your products elsewhere. This is clearly a case of inflating the specifications to justify a higher price point!
