Unhappy customer
Charged these for three days like the instructions said before checking that they worked. The lights came on when I brought them into the dark. Spent 6 hours putting them up (had to completely unravel them and twist them back up because they're wound backwards), only to have them last for 30 minutes and shut off (completely off, not even able to charge again without turning them off and back on again). They are on top of my arbor in full sunlight all day and I need a ladder to turn them on each time. They don't stay on the setting I put them on but page through all the settings. One of the selling points for me was the 18650 batteries, but they are not easy to replace. You have to remove the glued on solar panel.

15 minute max
I never write reviews; however, I cannot let this one slip by. I purchased 3 boxes (total of 6) to string along the vines in my back yard. Each is in full sun all day. I charged them in my dining room for a week and even just after 1 day they came on when it got dark. We had them come on for the first 2 nights after we hung them and they came on for about 15 minutes max and then shut off. The modes are ALL 8 modes - you do not have a choice in the modes (which was deceiving). We are beyond our return time, but I know what I thought I was making a great outdoor space proved to be a big waste of time and a waste of my money.

Picture it- cold, winter, 5am and have been shining all night
I love these, I hang them everywhere outside. They usually last about 2 -3 years, providing your mother doesn’t throw a ball into them and snap them...twice...in one season. They don’t offer a lot of casting light, but look very nice. This picture was at 5am in January when we don’t see much sun, it’s about 30 degrees out, and they have been on all night.

Whimsical lights for the whimsical person in your life
I have a family member who's going through a divorce, which is a neverending seesaw of insanity that for some reason has caused them to be utterly enraptured by whimsical things. Lights are very much one of those whimsical things, and since they live in the desert, solar-powered lights seemed like the perfect gift to buy me a few moments of sanity. I'm afraid that I'm not terribly whimsical these days, but based on how my phone camera captured these lights in an area lit by an overwhelming floodlight, I'd say that the pictures on the store page are pretty accurate (though it may require a DSLR and low light to achieve that same level of brightness/glow).These lights come rolled up with a plastic stake you can quickly assemble, and they were lit up brightly after just a few hours of sun, though again, that's the desert sun and your mileage may vary. The on/off button and a mode selection button that allows you to switch between patterns and solid lights are both on the little solar panel that gets staked into the ground, so I'd advise putting it in a flowerpot or some other elevated spot, if possible. If you're looking for inexpensive, pretty lights and live somewhere with enough sun to power them, these are an excellent option. Especially if you want to light up something far away from a wall outlet. I sometimes see them still on (at a reduced brightness, but still) at ~3-4 AM, so they last far longer on a charge than I anticipated, and the solar panel is very set-it-and-forget-it. The only thing I'm not sure about is how long they'll last, but at $9.99, replacing them is always an affordable option.

Excellent EXCEPT mode changes itself EVERY day
We bought 10 of these for the palm trees in front of our house. So easy. Great price. They last all night (about 10 hours) and then go on dusk to dawn without anything from us. ISSUE is that there are 10 modes or so and the mode randomly changes itself on each tree each day. I thought my husband was playing a trick on me. But alas he is not. So when you drive us to our house, each tree is doing something different every day no matter how many times I move them back to just the always on mode. Very frustrating!!

Nice tape lights
These lights are bright enough could be brighter, they can be seen from both sides. However direct view of led ( brighter side) will need to face direction of view for best results. Not actually a true tape light but are flat which slows installation sometimes if trying to be intentional and precise.I do like the way these are made and look like they should last a long time with proper handling.

These are very long, check length before purchase
The media could not be loaded. They are really long. I didn’t check the length when I ordered them. Plus being the copper wire, they stretch a bit too. Seems to hold up to wicked rain and wind so far.**BIG complaint- in the video I posted is my favorite setting. Which stopped working after a month! The other set of lights the photo ( not video) don’t have that same setting. They are both set to stay on steady mode as the other modes don’t work. Very sad!

Only one string works
This comes two to a box but I had trouble from the beginning with one of the strings. pretty sure it’s the solar panel because the on off button feels soft. Now I can’t get it to work at all. It gets the same amount of sunlight as the other set in the box. It’s disappointing because the set that does work is exactly what I wanted, the settings, size and brightness of the lights, just need more than the one string for the area I am lighting. I won’t buy this particular set again
