Impressive.
This thing really expands. I got it for my son who was used to carrying a duffle bag and was worried a back pack couldn't fit all his junk. With the expandable nature of this thing, he can fit a ton of stuff. It's almost like it has a Undetectable Extension Charm on it. He's used it for a couple of months now and the only complaints are from people who get stuck in a small space with him when he decides to turn around. The quality seems good, with no signs of wear yet from daily use as a school backpack. My son is a moose and has no complaints about the fit in his shoulders or the weight when it's crammed full and no one else wants to pick it up. He's horribly hard on backpacks (and shoes, but I won't get started on that) and this thing might actually last him a while. I'll try to update if we encounter any issues, but I'm impressed with it so far.Update:He's now had this thing for 10 months and it's still going strong. (Knock on wood, as my mother would say!) My son doesn't use his locker much, so this thing is usually so packed and heavy that I tend to avoid picking it up if I can... and it gets packed around 5 days a week like that, and he's none too gentle with it. This is the first backpack that's lasted him through the whole school year without a seam tearing or a zipper busting. So if you're looking for a backpack that will stand up to abuse and hold a lot of stuff/weight in the process, this is it. I even have hope it might make it thru at least part of next year. Definitely worth the money!

Best Backpack I've owned
I've had this backpack for 5 years. It has gone with me to Disney 3 times, the beach, the mountains, weekend trips, etc. I use it for carrying my laptop into the office.I love this backpack. I'm a big guy, and I just packed it for a 5 day beach trip with plenty of room to spare. The expandable bag is huge and holds everything I need it to hold.

Either got the wrong color or...
Someone confused my order with someone else who wanted green. Either way, not as it looks in the website. Wanted gray for urban edc bag but when it arrived i was pretty dumb founded trying to decipher the color i was looking at lol. I dont return packages because its a hassle but the material its not bad, it actually feels well built and not flimsy as I feared. Still I would've loved to get the exact picture for gray. This is kind of like a stormy greenish gray color lol its strange to look at, its not gray nor od green though my picture makes it look ODG because my bad camera, phone sucks. I guess it would be fine if i lived in a place where theres constant grayish green dark skies daily with tornados only i live in Denver where pretty much the city and every other urban area is gray with no off tint, hence my selection. It would make a great hiking and camping bag instead. For now im using this till i get an actual gray bag. Reminds me of the dress that was once a trend where people argued whether the dress was blue or gold, pretty funny. Not bad though because of the miss match, I'm a give a 3.

Shoulder straps work fine. Body type and size probably more important than ...
For the price (24.99 with hip belt), this is a very reasonable buy. With that said, I read all the comments before ordering and it should be remembered that this a "promotional bag," probably direct from the manufacturer via Amazon. Anything promotional implies to me that what you are getting is a lower level of a product or service for a lower rate to entice you to up shop it,( i. e. you receive what you pay for). Also, there are two prices for the same thing without any differentiation as to what you get between the two price points The only thing I could see might be the hip straps I went for the lower price point and received all the straps. With the expansion feature unzipped, this a BIG PACK where even the kitchen sink might fit. According to google, the 600d VPC material is waterproof and of reasonable strength. I plan to not over pack the pack and watch the weight vis a vis product strength. I think the pack will justify its purchase with reasonable use. The hip straps run just a bit high on me (stocky 5' 8") but not enough to not use them. Shoulder straps work fine. Body type and size probably more important than not.

Great Well Made Bag!
What a great bag! My grandchild was very pleased. Very well made, sewn well and boy will this bag hold a lot! It goes from 7 3/4″ to 12 3/4″ wide (zippered expansion) heavy duty zippers (I believe the zippers are nylon/plastic & pulls are metal. Any six grader will need a large bag (in our school district) as they have lots of homework and big thick text books (I know this from my older grandchild). This color pattern is like "Mind Craft" (Lego style video game) which he is thrilled and loves all of the parachute claps. I'll try to update in 6 months! PS: I ordered one in Black which did not arrive yesterday due to arrived today; hoping his older sister will like verses (teens so picky I had to order two styles for her to choose from) the KAKA Bag by Kaka it's a great bag as well (arrived yesterday) from Amazon 12" L x 22" H x 7"W Capacity: 35L very Urban bag, well made lots of pockets; but I don't think it will hold as much and too long for kids under 15 unless they are over 5'2". The Kaka logo may discourage a teen for using this bag; mine didn't notice it LOL

3 years of heavy use review.
Have had this for 3 years now. Have taken it to 8 countries on 4 different continents for business travel as well as using it daily to work. The zippers all still work flawlessly. The buckles are all still holding with no issues as well. The only damage is because of me, small hole in bottom of big compartment because I left a fork in it and threw my laptop in there. This bag has been thoroughly used and abused, stuffed into many an overhead bag bin, stuffed with two laptops, power supplies,, tons of folders and heavy bulky items, parts, lunch etc. etc.I highly recommend it, you will not be disapointed. I also get many compliments on it. Mine is customized as well due to my collection of remove before flight tags hanging from all of the zipper pulls.IMO, for the price, this bag cannot be beat. If it was to completely fall apart tomorrow, which it has no indication of doing, I would still love it the same and immediately buy another.
