Compare to Daiwa BG
This reel is very smooth with a cool black finish. It is solid, heavy and tough, not LT ( light and tough). There is a big weight jump (7 oz!) between the 4000 and the 4500 (the one I bought). It looks and feels like a BG, but It does not have:-screw-in handle (it has slide-in type)-seven ball bearing (it has six)It has a few good features that are also on the BG:-Air rotor-Anodized finish-Braided-ready spoolPlus all the features of a low-end Daiwa reel:-solid bail wire-aluminum housing (HEAVY)-no seal (still wonder why Daiwa labels this as a saltwater reel)I would not recommend this reel if you have to pay MRSP of $109 because BG costs about $10 more. I bought it for about 30% off the MRSP during cyberweek.
