no. My blue&gold loves this toy. I just bought a second one. It is easy for her to snap the beads, and the pieces are hung on rope, not chain or wire. Much safer.

Q: Is this one bigger then the 26.99$ one?

I am not sure but it is big my african grey chewed in it for months. I took up one side of his cage.

Q: What kind of wood is it?

Thin cheap wood, breaks up easily.
