Splendor Lavender Rosemary Bar Soap - Handmade, Vegan, Natural, Cold Process Soap Infused with Lavender and Rosemary Essential Oils.

Ever since Whole Foods stopped selling their sandalwood bar soap we have tried about a dozen brands looking for one we liked as much. Not an easy task. But I have to admit, this soap is lovely. It creates a soft, rich lather quickly, doesn't leave skin feeling dry and smells insanely gorgeous. I wish this came as a lotion and a body spray as well, it's that yummy. It looks like they will shrink quickly because of the softness of the bar and intense lather but I'm OK with that. I even used it on my hair, when I needed to use something that would strip it a bit to pull color out but it lathered up and just left my hair feeling clean and healthy, lol. So this can double as a shampoo bar. My husband loves this scent, too, it's not feminine or masculine, just really gorgeous. We found our replacement soap, finally!

Perfectly scented on the medium side. Fabulous texture. Washes off clean leaves behind very soft skin. Extremely pleased with this purchase.

I was a little disappointed to receive this order with the soaps out of their box and a bit smooshed. Scent is nice, although I don’t detect any Sandalwood or Rose. It is however fresh smelling and overall I think it’s a good product and feels nice on the skin. But if you’re looking for something more Sandalwood forward, I don’t recommend.

In these stressful days, browsing Amazon for products that contain lavender I came by chance to this set of soaps. What! Lavender AND Rosemary? Plus cocoanut oil. NOT palm oil! The manufacturer (in Santa Barbara) states: "A handmade in the USA, natural, palm oil-free product that nourishes your skin and protects our rainforests." There was a small surprise in the box. An extra soap, this one, quite thin. It was suggested I place my gift anywhere I wanted a slight scent. Think lavender fields. Think a Rosemary sprigsfresh from the market. Think the scent of your own softer hands after using this soap. I have just put ALL my hand and bath soaps in a two bathroom space into a netbag. Under the kitchen sink and, in laundry room cubby. They can serve lesser purposes as they splinter and develop cracks. I can't decide whether to re-visit this site too soon for a change-off with soap of another scent. But I urge you to consider how much a little genuine euphoria in wracking times is worth. It's a rare pleasure to recommend a product without reservation. I just decided to move one of the soaps to my workspace. It's in a square stone dish. The translucent color with bits of lavender and rosemary embedded looks quite handsome. Do I urge you to hit the button? Unequivocally. Maybe you'll tell the manufacturer you bought this product becauseyou read this. I'm re-reading my own review for the pleasure of anticipation. A mini-spa experience awaits me. And, you!How seldom I find on any site a completely made in USA product.

CHEMICAL BURN to my skin. I have used lavender, rosemary and coconut oill internally and externally with no side effects. First Bar washed smelled great, lathered well, but left a residue on my skin. Same with the second bar, BUT, it left my face red and stingy for 3 days. By day 4 , I experienced so facial peeling. I don't care how natural and soothing the ingredients sounds, by the time you add lye, out goes the soothing. Even most "natural" soaps are made with lye( AKA Sodium hydroxide), an irritant, when concentrated or undiluted. Since the bars are marbled with different scents, and colors, for effect, undistributed lye may behave its own effect, and that is a problem.

Smelled nice but melted so fast and little pieces of rosemary would fall into the tub every now and then. Not worth the price, for me.

Okay, it took me a while to write a review. I like to test things out. At first, I was all bugged. The soap is going too fast. Well...I didn't read the directions. Ooops. It takes two swipes...and then you rub and you have lather. I was using way more than I need to. And now that I have it down....it's great. The smell is great. It's fantastic that it is made in USA and even better in my home state. Weeeee! I like supporting small business. I like smelling yummy soap. And I like stuff that works. So win win! I think this would be a great gift....even to yourself!
