I thought we purchased blackout curtains... sure they dimmed the room, but not what I would call blackout

1. It's only 1 panel.Make sure to read everything carefully as they only include 1 panel. Seriously who only buys 1 panel?2. Not black out.Doesn't block out light. On normal curtains this wouldn't be a problem but this is sold as black out curtains.3. Poor stiching.Serveral spots where the stiching didn't catch folded over edges.For the price I didn't expect perfection, but this is basically unusable as intended.

After reading a load of reviews I was skeptical about these curtains, but I was surprised that the quality is definitely better than the price would suggest. Ordered beige and although not actually blackout - they dimmed quite a bit. The description says that the darker the colour - the darker the room. But beige is on the lighter side and they definitely darkened our sunsoaked living room. I have slightly better dark blackout curtains for the kids’ rooms but they were quadruple the price. I’d buy these again.

Ordered these curtains and they arrived quickly and undamaged. Unfortunately, these are NOT real blackout curtains as advertised. The best way of testing blackout curtains is to shine a flashlight through them and with these you could definitely see the light shining through the curtains. Not a very heavy fabric so I really doubt their thermal properties/energy efficiency of blocking or holding in the heat. Ended up finding some real blackout curtains at Costco came in a two-pack for cheaper, the material was substantially heavier, and you could not see any light when shining a flashlight through them. If you are only looking to darken your room then these curtains may suit your needs but if you are looking for real blackout curtains than pass on these ones.

It hasn't been too warm/cold so not 100% sure about the temperature control but the past few days where it's been ~10-15° with the sun shining quite bright, I feel as though it's kept the heat out of my room well. I wouldn't consider these the perfect black out curtains with the sun but it's dark enough. They would need to be double the thickness to be fully blackout curtains. The fabric is great and I like the color (royal blue). Can't really complain for $20
