I wish I could give it ten stars! My husband and I love Carcassone, but our kids just aren’t quite ready for it. This one was easy to learn (under five minutes to set up and know the rules!) and both my five and eleven year olds give it rave reviews. My five year old hasn’t quite grasped the strategy, but I can already see my eleven yea4 old getting there. It took about 20 minutes to play, and my husband and I agreed it would be fun even without the kids when we want something a little faster and lighter to play. Simple, well made, easy to play, but packed full of strategy and family fun. I can see us playing this for years to come. It’s a quick game as well; you can have great family time in a meaningful way. I hesitated a5 the cost, but I regret not getting it sooner. When the kids are older I have no doubt they will easily transition to the adult game.

This expansion took our already beloved Carcassonne experience to the next level. We’ve collected nearly every expansion available, and The Princess & The Dragon adds a fantastic element of chaos, strategy, and fun that shakes up the standard gameplay in the best way.The dragon adds a delightful unpredictability that keeps everyone on their toes, while the princess tile introduces unique decision-making moments that make each turn more dynamic. It's especially great when playing with family or friends who are already familiar with the core game and want something new without learning an entirely new ruleset.If your household or game group loves Carcassonne as much as we do, this is an essential addition. It breathes new life into a classic and makes every round feel like a new adventure. Definitely one of our favorites!

My husband and I love original Carcassonne and got very excited when we saw this as a gift idea for our board game loving 4 year old. The concept is easy and takes a little bit of thought, which has got to be good for his developing brain! The tiles all match up in one way or another, but he had to learn to pay attention to places that could complete his roads for meeple placement. His face lit up when he realized that. The game pieces are well made, just like the original. Heavy cut tiles. Wooden meeples for placing. The artwork is cute and we noticed a couple of funny little things. The price was suitable for the quality. I love that there is not a bunch of little pieces to attach or set up. You just open the box, divide the meeples up and play. Super simple to start and clean up. Looking forward to getting this game down with our young gamer!

This game is a great one to pull out on a cold winter day or whenever you are looking for some easy family fun! The gameplay is super easy to learn and is different every game. My family really enjoys this game with the colorful tiles and easily understandable concept. The simplicity of the game lends itself to being able to teach younger players the concept of strategy in a laid back, non-intimidating way.The pieces are easy to hold, easy to place, and it is easy to see what is on them. As you try to connect your pieces to get the most connected paths, you will have fun looking at the scenes of the characters running through what looks like a fun and whimsical setting.

Love the game and quality is great. I wish it came with a bag to draw the tiles out of. We just made our own.I get the BigBox idea, but they really should downsize the box. Everything can easily fit in half the box. There is a lot of wasted space with this box.Easy game to learn and teach. You can pick and choose which expansions to use to vary the game every time and decide how long or short you want the game to be. It is a fast moving game if people are paying attention and decisive on where to place their tiles. There are lots of different strategies to use but really would be easy for children to play too.

An awesome compilation of a huge number of expansions for one of the best board games ever made. A huge family favorite for game night. 10/10 recommend.

Clearly we need to play more often as the rules got fuzzy playing with the expansions. Girls enjoyed playing however!

This is our favorite expansion we've purchased for the game. The Shephard add a fun element to the field and the hills are also a fun way to mix up the play and throws off the predictability of the game. This expansion is very easy to learn and is made with the same great quality the original game is made with.
