I loved this when I first saw it and I truly fell in love with it when I opened the box. It is beautiful and made very well. I bought it to hang in my room that is shabby chic and it fits in perfect!

I got the "Love is.." plate. No hangar on back. It is about 1.25" inch deep. Peel-off labels on back indicate can be used for food, dishwasher safe and made in China. Very heavy, thick stoneware - why the description says leather and slate are involved I have no idea. I got mine very cheap as used because the center is darker in color and the black words have some areas a bit lighter than the rest. I think it looks more natural and authentic this way, the other buyer not so much.

Disappointed that it only looks good from a distance - because it is a NEAT design, but it really looks NOTHING like the picture shown on the product page. What we received is made of very cheap, flat tin that is painted dull brown! There is no cool, rusty looking color variation or no depth/substance to it at all, as is shown in picture. It's a nice design, but it was poorly mass-produced, sticker says made in China. Sad, because it coulda/woulda made a great gift -- if only it was made better! **** I see they have just added a 2nd picture that better shows the mass-produced flat design & a similar brown color, but their new picture still looks much nicer than the one we recvd, which is solid with no color variance, and is just chintzy looking. Yet it is a very nice design that has SO much potential!!!

Love the saying, but to be honest this looks like something you can buy at a family dollar for 5 bucks. The back is exposed to be 4 cheap wood held by a staple. Just expected something better, like maybe solid or a covering at the back.

Beautifull work of art. But the letters would look nicer if they use a darker ink.
