Lounge Swivel Rocking Java Chair Natural Handmade Rattan Wicker with Cream Cushion, Cognac

This came two days before expected..just in time for Christmas! The packaging was excellent. The chair had been well protected during s shipping and came with a Thank You note, which was a very nice touch especially since this was being given as a gift. The chair was easy to assemble, but I must add that my husband is fairly handy with things like that. We had a similar chair that he loved, but which had just worn out in every way, so I do have a comparison to make. This chair is by far superior to what we had before. It is very sturdy and feels solid unlike most rattan furniture. The finish is a rich brown. I purchased this to put on our covered deck but it almost looks too nice to put outside.I was concerned about the cushion because little was said about this. It came wrapped in plastic and had strong fumes. I hung it in the basement until it aired out and then it was fine. I'm guessing that the fumes were from the waterproofing on the fabric or something similar. However the fabric is flexible and comfortable to the touch. The cushioning seems to be good furniture quality. By that I mean, having a sturdy inner core so that it holds it's shape, but being fluffy enough to provide individual padding.Overall, I cannot imagine a way that this chair could be improved. It is certainly worth the money and will obviously last longer and be more comfortable than the cheaper one we had before. Love this chair.

Just received and assembled two of these chairs -- they are exactly what I was looking for! Very comfortable and seem well made.It's difficult to tell what exactly the fabric on the cushions is from the photos here - so based on purely the color in the photos, I expected the cushions that I'd want to replace the cushions once I got the chairs --I was very pleasantly surprised! The fabric is nice and sturdy feeling, but has a soft slightly plush striated texture and the color is just ever so slightly warmer/richer than it appears on my monitor. I will definitely be keeping the cushions! :DThe chairs were easy to put together... 4 little bolts - took 15 minutes for both chairs. I've assembled 'swivel-rocker' type chairs before, so I was familiar with the technique of rotating the base so that the hand hole to access the bolts was over each bolt as you attach it. I have fairly small (female) hands, so that probably helped too! Please note that the base is somewhat directional -- there are two larger springs and two smaller springs (for the rocking). The instructions made no indication of which springs were intended for the front or back. I tried it both ways and opted to put the larger springs in front because I liked the chair tipped slightly further back as its neutral position. Not sure if that's the way its intended, but it works for me! :)The company that I ordered this chair from was 'Sunbear Furniture' (and I mention that because Amazon often has several vendors available on the same product page). There were some delays in receiving my chairs as they were not in stock and needed to be shipped from overseas... however, SunBear took the initiative to keep me informed and make sure my order was correct. They were very gracious and responsive to my inquiries.

After getting the pieces all layed out, it is important to not tighten everything down right away. Get all of the sections connected first and then it goes pretty well. Because of the material, the fit takes some effort to get it to match up but when done, the furniture is beautiful and worth the effort. If you are not handy at this, pay the extra money and get them put together for you.

Delivery and assembly were excellent. The chairs are as described and went together easily. Tip: assembly will be really easy if you have a magnetic 10 mm socket. You will need a needle nose pliers and a Phillips head screwdriver to put it together (4 bolts, washers and nuts). The chairs are built well and look great. Thanks to Sun Bear Furniture!

The chair is very nice, appearance and comfort as expected.I was amazed at how well it was packaged when it arrived. Every single inch of bamboo was covered with cardboard tubes, and the entire chair was packed in a cardboard box that was twice as sturdy as the average cardboard normally used by shippers. Assembly is easy to understand, but a little tricky to squeeze your fingers in where necessary. If you have a 1/4 inch socket set it will help, but either way just take your time to install the 4 machine screws, nuts and washers. Highly recommended.

I love this chair. It matches all the furniture in my sun room. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the rocking capability that I was hoping for. Possibly it was assembled improperly. I would definitely have given it a 5-star rating if the rocking was better.'

I purchased this rocking chair along with the ottoman, and also the Malibu lounge set with chairs, loveseat and the coffee table. the items are great and are made very well. Items were delivered in a timely manner and packaged very well. I would purchase these items again if the need should arise.
