True to size kilt a good value when compared to others
I wanted a "kilt with storage built-in." There is another name for that, but I believe it is trademarked by a company. That company and others charge at least twice what it costs for this kilt, yet this one is well-made and when you order a particular size, the kilt fits to that size exactly. All the snaps work, pockets are good, color is even, fabric is properly thick. I thought this one had "hardware" that was more reflective/silver (which would have been a good look), but was instead a dull bronze like finish. The look of the snaps is not as nice as I had hoped, but at least everything works.

Not bad!
First off, know your sizing before ordering and review how to size them. Kilts are always a bit hard to size properly, so here is what mine ended up as. I wear a normal 34 waist, and I ordered a 38 after reading reviews- it fits quite nicely even though I’d prefer it to be a bit tighter. The material is very basic and thin, but for the price it will hold up fine I am sure. Very comfortable, opens in the front as they should, nice color and I am quite happy with it. I probably would have ordered a 36 if I had a chance to try it on, but the 38 works great!

Sizing issues as always
Completely 2'" way too small & I used those unforgiving size charts which makes no sense & adds to the confusion!? So I have to jump through hoops like a Lion in a Bleeding Cage & repurchase, now watch this be too big & yet another return!! There is NO LEEWAY it's not adjustable at all! No tags period so I'm completely & totally confused! It's so aggravating. Speedy delivery for something I can't possibly wear & god forbid if you gain or lose weight!! I'll try once more because of my trip, but this is always a freaking severe headache!

Not Long Lasting
I bought this in August 2023, and am writing this in October 2024.About Me:I'm one of those guys that wears a kilt seven days a week, so I'm always trying to find ways to stretch my dollar and have enough kilts for modern wear and when working Renaissance Faires. I'm also 6'1" and about 300lbs (definitely dad bod, not body builder), so sizing is always a challenge. When I say I own multiple kilts from multiple brands with multiple materials, I'm not pulling your leg.The Good:-Affordable price; finding a sub $100 kilt without a sale/coupons is a challenge.-Pockets are decently sized.-Solid color so great for general, modern-day wear. I went with black to better work for the office environments I frequently work in.-Sizing is pretty accurate. I cannot emphasize this enough; too many kilts ask for the measurement and it's still too big or small. The Bad:-The apron (flat part up front) is a bit short. Both layers need about another inch or two. I have to be VERY aware of how I'm sitting or how I move when stretching to ensure I don't give people an eyeful.-The kilt itself may be good for waist measurements, but it is *short*. If I wear it at my belly button, it does not go to my knees.-The belts seem decorative than useful.-Material is marked as "acrylic wool" in the description. It's more like a lightweight canvas.-The pockets are NOT that durable. Within one year, both pockets had torn and ripped off. Thankfully I have pouches, but pockets shouldn't rip like that.-The kilt itself isn't durable as a whole. Some of the belt loops ripped in the first couple months.Should You Buy It?If you want a cheap kilt to wear and see if you're a fan of wearing them, or want a cheap option to hold you over for a costume, this isn't terrible placeholder. But it is exactly that: a placeholder that does not hold up to regular use. What To Buy Instead? My longest lasting kilt is a wool kilt from St. Kilda (bought 2017), but not many people will buy those on a lark, especially if you want pockets. The name brand Utilikilt is also durable and long lasting, but they are *expensive*.For a budget friendly, pocketed kilt, consider:-Damn Near Kilt 'Em (about $100~ish; I've had a Techlite Rogue that I wear more often than this and is in better shape)-Verillas (about $150~ish; had one of their cargo kilts since 2020, only real complaint is the use of velcro)-UT Kilts (sub $100, better quality than this but not as solid as the above two)Happy kilting!

Not designed for fat people, even the size 50
The pleats are stitched partway down from the band. If you are big enough that you have to wear this on your hips instead of at your bellybutton, then when you move around and sit, that stitching will tear out. There are no rivets in key places either. Also, it runs a little snug for the size listed, and there are only a couple snaps. It is good for spring and summer activities. It looks nice with the contrast stitching. The integrated utility pouches on each hip are well placed and good sized.Understand that this is a wrap skirt, and not exactly a kilt. That's kind of where the universe is with kilts right now.In public nobody seemed to care, and at a club, I got one of the first compliments I've gotten in a long time wearing a similar kilt. I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Somewhat conservative, but also Texas has a huge Scottish population.
