Great character-driven story
This was really, really good. And upsetting at the same time. It's definitely not perfect. The tween being a strategist was just plain silly. Occasional spelling errors, such as "solider" rather than "soldier" is an example. But the characters are extremely sympathetic. I became upset several times over certain events! Characters make or break a novel, and these definitely made it worth every minute of my reading time. I will be purchasing the fourth and final book of the series.

Tyrus fights another Geneshan invasion while his family tries to escape to more peaceful lands. Mediocre despite plot twists.
In this third and final book of the Tyrus Chronicle trilogy, the lead character is back in the army under his former commander General Balak, fighting another Geneshan invasion as the Turine Empire is still reeling from the aftermath of an apocalypse triggered by a Geneshan artefact. The story evolves along 2 plot lines, the first covering the war, the second narrating the efforts of a small group of refugees led by Ava, the hero's sister, as they seek safe passage to the peaceful lands of the Southern Kingdoms. Keeping faith with the first 2 books, the lead characters continue to be assailed by bad news and bad luck, yet survive through persistence and skill, until a series of great showdowns that see some of them survive and others fall. The prose falls far short of high literature, many dialogs remain clumsy, and the motivations of the hero's close friend Hamath are nonsensical, but the action's decent and the plot twists interesting enough to keep you reading to the end… with some effort. Only worth getting to if you've already read most of the best (military) Fantasy books available and still have time to spare.

Tyrus commands!
This was perhaps my favorite of the three I had read. Tyrus kicks ass and leads others with inspiring confidence! I especially enjoyed reading about his reunions and how he took care of his new recruits.

Good emotional story
I liked this almost ending of the series. One more to go with so many enemies and friends deceased. Fairly emotional. Excited to see how it ends.

One of the best series I’ve ever read
This series has had me enthralled all the way through. At no point did I feel bored. I’ve spent long nights reading because I wanted more from the next line. I loved it, keep up the good work!

A good finish to a good series
I liked the writing and the characters, there were a lot of twists and turns, and things were always moving. The story lost the personal journey of one man that the first book embodied, and instead turns into one mans destiny to save the country/world from the clutches of an evil god. I liked the personal feel of the journey before it escalated.

I was right in my book 2 review
Gave it 3 stars coz I was expecting that much coming out of book 2. Good story, tactics but predictable. I think my journey in the series ends with this book

Chronicle continues
Another excellent story line with excellent characters interacting to move the plot along. Drawing all the strings together for hopefully the grand finale to end all finales . Shame some of the stronger cast are dropping of but that's war. Cheers and can't wait till the next time.
