Works well

The 7cut Koolatron is the perfect size and structure for the added freezer space I needed to supplement my side-by-side freezer. Being able to cook and freeze meals, and keeping healthy foods like a variety of legumes and cooked vegetables readily available in an organized way is going to make eating healthy more easy and save $$....not to mention having several shelved dedicated for dog treats and bones.

Was delivered Dented and all the shelves had fallen to the bottom of the refrigerator. Luckily, none of them were broken because they were glass.

Very well insulated to stay outside on the porch during Florida heat and cold nights. Every inch of the 7 cubic feet is usable storage space. No bulky door shelves. They arrived in perfect condition, well protected with thick foam. ONE suggestion: Package all the glass shelves together, wrapped in foam and taped together. All were loose and out of place from shipping. Thankfully, none were broken. I'm so pleased with it that I ordered another one.

This freezer is working great. I've had it about 2 months and no problems. It's light (empty) and for what I'm using it for it is perfect. I bought it as an addition to my current small frig/freezer in my 5th wheel. It doesn't take up a ton of space but has plenty of room for my additional frozen items. I set it at max freeze and it is in the -10 to -15 degree range. It is very quiet. I also like the very light swish sound it gives out when you close the door. It actually sounds like it is sucking air out of the freezer. Very solid well made door. I can't say much about energy efficiency per say as I haven't noticed much increase in my electric bill. But I have quite a few electric leaches in my trailer. (TV's heaters, washer/dryer stereo etc. It doesn't seem to run very long when it does turn on.

So this is the 2nd time in a row this was sent. One can conclude that this is the originally one. The 1st time the corner at the bottom was damaged and it appears that with this one they hammered it. And how the heck do you ding the compressor like this. It appears someone took a hammer to it. This is a dirty, hateful company. Don't order anything. A matter of fact, we will stay loyal to home depot and have things delivered properly and undamaged.

Received this item damaged. The outer carton had an impact mark that matched up to the dent. The inner carton was much better, but still had an impact mark on the affected corner. The actual damage to the unit appears to have putty applied to the wound. There didn't seem to be any other visible damage except to the upper back left corner of the unit. I followed the instruction manual to set up the unit to see if it would work... It seems to be operating normally with no coolant leaks or any signs of air leaks from the damage or anywhere else. When setting it up I noted the right front adjustable plastic foot knob is stripped and doesn't hold it level - so I had to put a small rock underneath there to level it. It's been running (quietly) for 24 hrs now and it has frozen a few water bottles. Temperature probe has it at -3.5 degrees F and is set at 4 (1-6). I have a month to decide if it's worth keeping or sending it back for replacement or refund. It's definately not a pretty "new" unit by any stretch - but so far it works. I'll edit this review when we've decided to keep or return and adjust rating accordingly. We were disappointed that we paid a "new" price for a damaged item - but it does work.

The freezer is attractive and very quiet. The space-saving back design is very handy as you can fit it into smaller spaces. It freezes very well at the mid-range setting-range suggested. The temperature was minus 3 degrees Celsius which was perfect. Very happy with the purchase.

My biggest problem was if 1.2 cu ft would be big enough to fit my needs and the frozen stuff I buy. It is. And thus freezer is perfect. Stores enough stuff which I could possibly need at any time. I wasn't able to get a good judgement from online videos and decided to grab it during a FB deal.It's stores a small frozen pizza easily (I was worried that the storage dimensions wouldn't allow it). The instructions are quite clear and the freezer looks decent.

Gets down to minus 20F or so after maybe 4 - 6 hours at setting 7. I should get a proper freezer thermometer to know for sure. The digital thermometer I have is rated for minus 57F but the display gets corrupted a little under the freezing mark. A small analog thermometer says minus 20 so it's probably OK. I didn't realize how small it is inside. It will help me with frozen items overflow from kitchen freezer as I get ready for a holiday gathering but a large frozen tray item won't fit so I'll juggle stuff around between the freezers. If I was to do it again, I'd probably get one of the 3 cubic foot size. Still, it works fine, was inexpensive and will do what I need. Longevity? Don't know yet.

Got this one for the shelves so we could organize what we put it. Works great, freezes fast and is super quiet, door seal is tightSet up was quick. I reversed the door, which was easy by following the instructions in the owner's manual.Also waited the 2 hours as the instruction manual said before turning it on after placing it in its intended locationEasy access with the 3 provided side out baskets.I am glad I could purchase a freezer made by a Canadian Company

Sometimes this little freezer will start to rattle or as I call it the "60 cycle hum". The top cooling tubes will rattle causing a huge hum. I've taken to wedging small pieces of plastic under them to stop it. It's annoying but it works. Once you've figured that out it's quiet and a great freezer. I love it! Holds a lot too. I may get another one.
