Affliction: Knights Rebels, Book 2

Dull. Repetitive, Cliche & Too cheesy for an MC book
Very boring to read, with too much repetition. I honestly do not understand how something so boring and cliche has so many high reviews. Even the title does not make sense, Affliction? Sy does not have an affliction, which means a disorder, illness, disease etc, he is simply recovering from loss and grief and the author throws in the term randomly at the end of the book, when Sy refers to himself as having an affliction. I really hate how the females in these books blame the other woman, calling them whores, for having sex with their man, well he had sex with her too!!! Even the female in this is very promiscuous so I do not get how it was okay for Holly can talk about Tina, and Holly started the verbal attack. Just annoying. This is just a mundane, boring, repetitive read, with strange words strung together and a lot of common phrases are worded wrongly.

I cried more than I thought I would
This story hit close to home. Having suffered a lost myself my heart broke for Holly and Sy their bond love and all round relationship was something else. Big badass cute (dnt tell sy I said that) biker was lost in his darkness and his beAutiful sunshine brought him back. THIS IS A MUST READ!!!!! just make sure ur wearing waterproof mascara and have tissues ready.I really admire River Savage for approaching this topic from the make point of view that never happens a lot so was an eye opener and raise awareness that it's not only women that stuff when they suffer a loss like this. Amazing

★Review★Another great addition to the series. Not as light-hearted as book 1 in my opinion. The first 25% or so touches on the timeline and events from book 1 - I would say it is necessary to read book 1 first, as a lot of the first quarter of this book, is a re cap, and the knowledge of book 1 is needed. But, it is a great story - as a reader being able to understand why Sy is as he is, and seeing the changes Holly goes through, how she changes after she is shot and dealing with the aftermath, to how she comes back to her self again, with the help of Sy.Sy is a great character - his pain and past is truly heartbreaking, and his determination to help Holly overcome her pain, while still being in the dark about all she is hiding.I really enjoyed the story and how thier relationship built and developed from a purely sexual one, to an almost reluctant friendship to a true love. But and this is why it is not a five, I never really quite truly understood why Holly did not tell Sy straight off, and why she took so long to tell him about her pregnancy and subsequent loss. They were well into a relationship before she found out about his past, but this then just offered up another excuse to hold off telling him something I do not get why she did not tell him when it happened. But, I am really looking forward to Beau and Jesse's stories.★Book Basics★Genre : - Contemporary RomanceSeries : - 2nd in the seriesLove triangle? - NoCheating? - NoHEA? - YesWould I read more by this author/or in this series? - yesRating - 4 stars

A very emotional story
I enjoyed this book more than the first as it much more emotional and Sy and Holly really had some dark issues to work through.Sy is the epitome of dark, brooding male who keeps all his demons hidden. Even his 'brothers' in the MC are unaware of his past and why he keeps his emotions locked down. He is determined never to fall for a woman again, after his last relationship failed so painfully and hates himself for being captivated by Holly. After a one-night stand, he puts his walls up and tries to keep his distance from Holly but she manages to get under his skin. The fun-loving Holly, however, is confused and surprised that Sy resists her flirting and persists regardless.Although there is a fair amount of sex, I felt this story was more about the rollercoaster of a journey their relationship went through and this book was quite sad at some points but that made the story all the better for it.

ANOTHER BRILLIANT ADDITION TO THE SERIES
Another fantastic addition to the series.Hot in all the right places, Great characters, sexy hot Alpha males and a great plot with drama in the mix, what more could you ask for in an MC read.Sy, a hot sexy tattoo artist part of the Knights Rebels MC , he's the broody member of the bunch with hidden dark and dismal past that he hasn't even shared with his own brothers.Holly is the best friend of Kadence who is happily settled with Nix the president of the MC who's story featured in the first book. Holly is sassy and loud in the first book but an incident leaves her withdrawn. These are two characters who are both in dark places within their heads and only each other can bring them light.Holly calls Sy sunshine something that started off as a joke due to his moody broody attitude when in the end he does end up being the ray of sunshine in her life.I loved the push and pull in this romance, both characters fighting the attractions and both at different stages living in denial that there is more than just lust between them.Affliction is a great read with lots going on, I love all the characters and the author did a brilliant job of tying the first book and this together without repeating previous events as the two do cross over.A must read for any biker book enthusiasts, there's a fabulous mix of action and fan me down hot scenes. Affliction can be read as a standalone but advisable to read the first book to get a broader picture on previous events that have taken place to Holly and Sy meeting and how they both first ended up in the Knights Rebels MC.Looking forward to more in this series. Jesse's book is next and he is the man whore of the MC and I look forward to seeing who claims his heart.Told in first persons dual pov's and leads to a hea.
