A waterproof cast cover to keep!
The cast cover worked amazingly well. It is easy to use. Just slip it over your foot, up you leg to cover the cast. It create a tight seal on your thigh keeping out all the water. The seal makes it 100%waterproof. After your shower remove it. I hang it over the shower rod to let it air dry and then it is ready for your next shower. I have used this product for two broken ankles and it works exceptionally well.

Very tight but effective
The seal does keep out the water completely, but keep in mind it’s not a comfortable fit. It’s very tight and like having a rubber band locked around your leg, leaving a temporary mark/crease. If your goal is to keep the wrappings dry, though, it works!

Water Tight
This item works great. Used this after total knee replacement surgery. Not a drop of water made it inside. We did use additional cling wrap around the top as insurance probably not needed. We love this item.

Excellent product. I highly recommend
Update - After 2 weeks my cast was replaced with a walking cast which is allot larger around. I have to stretch the opening more on the cast cover to pull it on. I'm careful to stretch it as little as possible. It still seals well on my leg when I get it on. No leaks. I can only guess that those that say it leaks are over stretching the opening of the cover when pulling it on. It's a good product.Original postThis leg cover is very easy to use. I use it in the shower with no issues. I do not have to worry about water getting to my cast. I let the full shower stream wash down on me and over the covered leg without a concern. The plastic bag is fairly thick so no worrys that it will rip or tear. I've only used one cover for 3 weeks now and expect it will maintain its usefulness until my cast is off in another 5 weeks. When I first used the cover the hole I had to slip over my cast seemed very small. I feared it would tear when I stretched it open to pull it on. The opening easily stretched so I could pull the bag on and then closed around my leg making a very secure water tight seal. This leg cover is an excellent value.

Worked ok, but I’ll be trying something else
Needed to keep my surgery site and walking cast dry during showers. Read a lot of reviews and figured I’d try this version of the boot/cast sock.Bottom line up front:It worked ok, kept me dry enough, I’ll use the second one, but I’ll definitely use a decent quality medical tape at the site of the seal as insurance. This performed as advertised and is a good quality product, just not what I need/want for my situation. The plastic was thick enough that the metal parts of my boot did not penetrate the sock where those areas touched the tile in my shower. It even held up after a little metal on tile slide to adjust my position in my seat. I was happy to see how well it held up.I believe you could use these multiple times, like others have mentioned but I’m concerned about how well the seal will hold up over multiple uses. The seal was not “tight” even on my first use. I’m a good sized athletic individual and although there was some constriction coming from the seal, I was worried enough about water getting through that I ended up throwing some medical tape around my leg and over the seal as a precaution. A little bit of water still made it’s way into the sock, but it did not make it more than 1/4 inch past the seal. I was sitting down and my leg was out of the direct spray and I was being cognizant of where water was spraying so I have concerns about other shower positions and if the seal would work in those situations.I did use crappy medical tape too but that shouldn’t matter because this sock is supposedly waterproof anyway. It was super easy to get on over my walking cast and super easy to get off. That being said, maybe my seal wasn’t as tight because I stretched it this much to get it over the boot. After about 10 min in the shower, condensation built up inside the sock but that was to be expected and I wouldn’t expect less from a waterproof membrane in those conditions.

Exactly what I was looking for! Perfect fit!
Worked perfectly!!! I have a broken leg that I can’t get wet after surgery up to my thigh and this was exactly what I was looking for instead of using a trash bag or trying to rig something else. It was a bit of a struggle to get it over my bulky walking boot, but that was to be expected. My husband and I just took our time getting it over the hardware to make sure it didn’t tear and voilâ. Perfect fit and seal! I’ve only used it once so far so I’ll update when I use it again to let you know how long it lasts.
