Hello, first you need to remove the backing paper, that is the think glossy looking paper, it will expose the glue side of the vinyl, apply it onto your surface and then remove the application tape.

Hello, it will be very easy to remove. Just use sharp scissors and cut it off prior to removing application tape.

Q: I'm in an apartment. Is it easily removable?

Yes... comes off easily and wont damage walls. You won't, however, be able to reuse.
