Unique Design Stool
I gave 5 stars for the design and honesty of the pictures. Male seat, not for me. Felt unsturdy and uncomfortable for me. Could not adjust the height of the seat. Suggest you look for a different stool.

Helps minimize tailbone pain
This split saddle chair helps to transfer pressure from the tailbone to the sit bones and thighs. It doesn’t cut off blood circulation to the groin like traditional saddle stools would. I have been using this chair for about a month now. After an hour or so, my thighs are burning from the chair opening them. It is getting better. But I wish there was a way to adjust the spread of my legs and bring my knees together more when the angle becomes uncomfortable. As it is, alternate between sitting and standing every hour or so. It is helping to relieve tailbone pain for me. I like having the back on the chair to help me posture and give me an option to lean back. I wish the padding were a little more robust. Otherwise, the chair serves my purposes.

The verdict is still out
I've had this chair for about 3 weeks now. The first week, I hated it. The second week, I didn't like it. The 3rd week, I still don't particularly like it.But it is getting better! When I first received it, the seat was rock-hard and I could only last an hour or two on it. After 3 weeks, it has softened up some, but it's still hard to stay seated for too long. That's both bad and good. Bad because I can't just relax in the chair. Good because it does encourage me to stand up and move around more often, which was part of the goal.I think in time it will become more tolerable, either because the seat will continue to soften, or my backside will harden. ;-)What I do like about it: Seems reasonably well built. The base is all metal and overall if feels fairly sturdy. The footrest clamp isn't the greatest. Seems like it would want to slide down over time. But fortunately, I like it best all the way at the bottom. It can take my entire weight standing on it, so it seems sturdy enough. I have an adjustable height desk and this chair allows me to be at a semi-standing position. It only has adjustments for height and front to back tilt. I guess that's all it really needs. What I don't like so much (besides comfort):The wheels don't swivel very well. Would probably be better if I had a chair mat, but with the manufactured flooring I have it sitting on, they skid rather than rotate when changing direction. I even tried lubricating the pivots a little and that didn't help much.I wish the arm rests came around a little more. They aren't really usable if you are trying to type at a keyboard. Even just trying to sit back and relax there is barely enough room to get the tips of your elbows on them.I also wish the seat didn't spread your legs quite as much. Seems like it's a little too wide to be comfortable. So, would I buy it again? I'm not sure. My old chair wasn't very comfortable either. I was hoping because of the change in seating position this one might prove to be better. So far it's definitely not more comfortable for long term sitting. I still have my old chair and once in a while I'll swap them out just for a change. I think that's probably ideal.I think it would help if there was some sort of pad available for it. Especially when trying to break it in.I'll keep at it in hopes that I can adapt to it.

Enhanced my back pain! Hard pass
I have given this chair 2 months and my back pain has worsened. The chair is uncomfortable in any position irrespective if you have good posture. It may be okay for short periods but definitely not a good all day office chair.

A hair stylist’s dream come true
I have been doing hair for many years now. I have tried different things throughout the years but this is by far the best.

Seat is quite uncomfortable.
You can feel the hard edges of the split in the middle of the seat. They dig into your butt bones so I wasn't able to sit on this chair for more than 20 minutes. I think the split in the middle should be more of 'rolling hills' type of gentle valley than a canyon bordered by cliffs. It would also be nice if the height of the back piece was adjustable - not everyone has the same elbow height.
