Simplicity 1732 Misses' Costume Coat R5 (14-16-18-20-22)

Be aware, several pattern pieces are mislabeled. The Sleeve lining parts for view A for instance. Other than that, the directions are sort of mediocre, but if you do princess seamed garments frequently enough not to need much detail, you'll be fine.That being said, I love how it looks when it's done!

Love , love ,love this coat since the first time I saw it. I looked it up and it is a Victorian era coat it will be my winter coat. So excited to get the fabric so that I can get started on it. LOVE THE PATTERN!!!!

Great pattern

I assume the coat would be beautyful, but for me I would need to shorten it at the waistline - the problem is, there are nor markings for the waistline. I never ever had a pattern without lines to shorten or lengthen something.

Great price, as advertised condition I have been looking for this in these sizes for awhile, glad to have finally found it.

Was as I expected. Arrived in decent time

So far I've only made the shorter jacket, I made it with the tapered sleeves as the long jacket and instead of using a different fabric, I turned it he fabric 90° so it contrasts with the rest of the sleeve. I would recommend fitting the pattern to you first, I normally wear size 12 top/jeans but ended up making the size 14, it's quite fitted and I can wear a thin jumper under it without the buttons popping off!!The patent goes together beautifully and has had many positive comments (except my 13 year old daughter who said "you aren't planning to wear that outside, are you?)!! It does look very Victorian and goes well with any steam punk or retro look.I used medium weight upholstery fabric for a period feel.Total cost of jacket (including pattern) £15.
