The two sliding trays are too narrow for tools
This box has completely used the space wrong, Stanley make tools, so this is a tool box, and if your tired of fishing for your tools, then a box with trays is the answer, unfortunately my Stanley screwdriver is too fat for the trays and also my hammer, tape measure and many of the daily little tools that I don't want to fish for from the bottom box area.. The big compartment can take a lot of tools.. But then its the same as any other tool box... Tools can't even slightly overlap in the trays or the lid won't close... Might be better advertised as a fishing tackle box, good shape for a seat, strong enough etc... just the trays need to be much deeper for tools... also you need to fold down the handle on the lid to be able to slide out the trays, this takes a little bit of time and once you have the whole tool box opened, it's not meant to be moved until you pack up... I guess everyone's needs are different, I'll keep using it for now, but it was almost the perfect box.

A very sturdy toolbox
I'm a washing machine engineer and over the years I've had loads of different types of toolboxes which have been very shabby and would break very easily. This one is the strongest I've ever had. Its not meant for standing on but I can stand on it with confidence and there is no movement or creaking. I like the sliding drawers. In fact I love this toolbox. I would recommend it.

Getting close to my perfect portable toolbox...
I use this for car repair/tinkering, I wanted something strong and big enough to fit everything I need for most jobs but not so big it's not still portable. I like the design with the sliding drawers so everything is easily accessable at once. The top drawers have enough depth for small tools like screwdrivers, spanners, pliers and 1/4" & 3/8" sockets/ratchets etc, and come with helpful dividers to organise/stop things moving around too much. The main compartment is nice and deep and wide enough for bigger ratchets/hammers/larger spanner sets etc. The only improvements I'd make are single-latch opening, and an oddments box built into the lid would be helpful, but then it wouldn't be as sturdy/able to be stood on. It feels solid and well-built, so should take a bit of abuse if used professionally too.

Strong box, weak draws
The outer box itself is really solid with a good strong handle. I stand on it to get to high reach places and the box doesn't flex or creak. Yes the draws are shallow but that's clear from the photos. For spanners and screwdrivers this 8s fine. Unfortunately the rollers that the draws are connected to are plastic and not metal. And not very strong plastic. It's like the kind that will snap if it's impacted or bent. I'd like to see the rollers be metal and then this would be a 5* tool box. Otherwise it's all good. Sausage

Very solid, chunky toolbox but the trays are just a bit too thin
Finally, I have a toolbox that doesn't use stupid flimsy "pull up the drawers when you open the lid" levers and arms, which invariably break after a year, if you're lucky. This one has drawers on decent runners which works very nicely except that they're about half an inch (say a centimetre or so) too thin, so bulky screwdrivers won't fit in there and you can't put a few things in on top of each other. That aside, it's made very sturdily indeed and is by the far the best toolbox I've found at anywhere near this price.
