After reading the numerous reviews I was hesitant on purchasing this shoe rack however, as it was exactly the size I needed I went ahead and ordered it. It arrived well packaged and I had no issues with the condition.I read all the instructions carefully, ensured all the items and pieces were present and I took time to identify the panels (I later saw that all panels had small numbers on them to indicate which panels were which) I had a normal Phillips screw driver.After all of this I felt prepared and I started assembling the rack. It took me around 25 minutes - I did it on my own and everything was manageable- the instructions were clear, I did not fully understand all the pieces but as they were in numbered packages, I followed instructions and found out how they worked.The completed item is sturdy and looks fantastic, I have ordered another one.Top tip: take time to read all the instructions before you begin, the instructions are detailed and they give you everything that is needed to complete the task.I am 100% happy with the assembled shoe rack.

After reading some of the reviews along with the price, I was a little apprehensive to get this shelving. I searched other stores for a similar product. I didn't find one for my needs. I was looking for one whose width fit the depth of my closet. So I took the risk and am truly glad I did. It came with great instructions - take care to read them. The boards are solid and once fully constructed is a sturdy, quality piece. I'm going to repeat - Read the Instructions. It notes to use a Phillips screwdriver --- not a power tool. I would add that if you're constructing alone, use a short handled Phillips. Mine is a 3" Craftsman. The reason I recommend this is because you will be holding a board in place and trying to screw in on the backside of another board. The smaller screwdriver allows for better control and less effort. I chose to complete the shelf with the back on. As a woman, size 8.5, my shoes fit well. Larger sizes will stick out some. As to the price ~ it was more than I wanted to pay for the size, but getting exactly what I wanted balanced the bottom line. I was able to take up very little space in my closet and got all of my shoes off the floor. :)

Thinner particle board, but good quality and not stupidly heavy. Super smart supplier actually included a few extra parts, which I needed. One of the embedded plastic receivers was cracked and I was able to replaced it myself, which eliminated a return and bad review.

I’m organizing my disastrous closets. These shelves add a level up to the wire racks. My only issue are my high heels. The spacing doesn't permit for me to stand them upright, and the shelves aren’t adjustable. But if you’re a flats girl, this is for you!

Wanted it as a display case instead of shoe rack. Looks great. Easy to assemble. My tv set perfect on top and it’s real sturdy. Love the top shelf can be adjusted.

Putting together wasn't too bad, but the shelf is not very sturdy. Ideal for smaller size shoes. I wear 10.5 and length wise doesn't fit entirely on the shelf. Width wise can fit 2 pairs per shelf, maybe 2.5.

This was better than I expected. Easy to put together. 1 person 30 minutes. Looks nice enough in your entry way or living room, but very affordable.

not using it for shoe storage, but as a beside my chair for items that I want close at hand, for sewing, reading, things I want to get quickly, without having to search. I added containers to the shelves, labeled them so that I can go straight to the container that holds the item I am looking for. I love it. And now that I have seen how useful this is, AMAZON is out of the Gray. need another gray unit, please
