Have to pay to program if only have one fob
You can't program yourself if you only currently have one fob (need to have two already to program yourself). I paid a locksmith $125 to program it. If I bought one from him would have been $200 with his fob and $500+ from dealer so I'm still way ahead. But it works

Worked perfect.
Unfortunately you can’t program keys for the Mitsubishi outlander yourself unless you have an advanced programmer than can read the PIN code from the computer. However these keys did program nicely with the programmer device and are working great.

Programmed it myself after a couple of tries
I own a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV LE. I bought one of these keyfobs a couple months ago, and successfully programmed it in two tries.I bought another one recently. It arrived today. Again I successfully programmed it, after a couple of failures.The 'secret', I think, is to hold the UNLOCK button long enough (the manual says 4-8 seconds each time) during the procedure.By the way, the physical key cannot be cut by an ordinary Home Depot or Ace Hardware--it would have to be cut by an old-fashioned locksmith. I have not bothered with that, because the physical key is only useful if the battery suddenly dies (and you don't have a spare battery).

Exactly what we neededed
Saved us alot of money. Daughter washed her key fob when washing everything after the hurricane. This saved us buying one from a dealership from out of state and we were able to get it programmed locally.

It works to program 2020 and under
The media could not be loaded. It work with my 2020 mitsubishi outlander sport I had lost my keys and bought this one called a lock Smith he was able to program it and now it works turns on and of my car and it unlocks and locks as well just make sure your fcc i.d is the same and the frequency and it will work!

Works for 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander
Bought as a second fob for my 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander. Called one local Mitsubishi dealer who stated that most of the time the fobs had no "guts" inside and was thus unprogrammable. This one felt like more than just a plastic case. Went to another local dealer and paid the $90 fee for them to try to program it and they had no issues! MUCH cheaper than the $600 they quoted me for an OEM fob. Highly recommend, has the "guts" and brings the glory!
