I find this book of poems to be a great source of types of poems, but also a helpful tool when teaching various kinds of poems. I bought one of these books for my student teacher, but loved it so much that I bought one for myself as well!

We love it!There are loads of poems in this big book!Some are funny, some touching, some at short, some are long, some medium… enough for different moods and taste.Super way to educate your little ones, even if you just read those to them!They rhyme, sometimes not, sometimes almost, just like different kinds of poems go 😊The book is plain, just black and white with simple yet relevant and cute illustrations.Don’t be fussy and enjoy it’s full potential 💛

I’m tutoring a grade 5 and grade 7 student online and this has been great, because it has so many examples of poems that I can read to them that use metaphor, allusion, alliterations, etc.

I bought this for my granddaughter, who has always loved poetry. This book not only has some awesome poems, but shows the rules, tips, and tricks that go into writing each type of poem. I would recommend this to a person of any age--I found it fascinating.
