iJDMTOY18-SMD-5050 LED Strip Light Compatible with Car Trunk Cargo Area or Interior Illumination, Xenon White

This light is awesome so far! The light in my trunk hasn't worked since I got the car years ago and never thought much about it... Once I was looking for something in the dark though I finally wondered why I didn't have one. I'm glad I found this over replacing it with a stock light because it is bright and lights up everything in the trunk better than I could have hoped. Install was simple. I used a knife to make a notch in the plastic housing because it pressed up tight to the sharp metal and this way it wouldn't damage the wires. So far it's sticking great and look forward to seeing how long this light will last.

Five stars? Is that all??? This zippy little light string is a "10" - maybe even an "11".It is almost a sin that the manufacturers put a tiny little cheap bulb in the trunk. Nothing says I Love My Owners like putting a dim light back there when you need to pull out a spare tire, jack, etc. I guess they think everyone has roadside assistance.But I stay, sorry. Last summer I got a new car. It was not a cheap car, in fact it is probably the most expensive automobile model/package the manufacturer offers. But for them bucks I spent, they maybe spent a nickel for the bulb. In fact, the almost early evening I picked up my car and was checking everything out, I asked them to replace the bulb because it was so dim I thought it defective. I was told that was the normal brightness.HA! You want brightness? Get this light strip. It is just as advertised. Actually, it is better than it is advertised. This WORKS!I read someone say it took them about a minute to pop out their bulb, plug in this strip, peel the tape and put it in place. I thought they were lying. I found out they were... it only took 52 seconds. And that less-than-a-minute is worth 100 times more effort for what you get.As I said, It is almost a sin that the manufacturers put a tiny little cheap bulb in the trunk -- but this fixes all that in a (okay 52) second(s).BUY THIS -- I'm buying more to give out for gifts.Sorry for being so wordy. No, not really.Update April 2016I still love this light; however, I can't get it to stay "stuck" on the crosspiece in my trunk. I've even added my own double sided tape to help keep it in place, and it falls off of that as well. My next step will be to get my 10 year old grandson to crawl in the trunk and drill small holes and screw it into place with some #6 x 1/8 screws.Love the brightness; dislike the adhesive like some others have said.if there was a half-star available, I'd change this to a 4 1/2 star because of the hassle.

If you have a 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala (2014-2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited), this makes a very nice trunk light upgrade! The stock connector just plugs right into the factory harness so no cutting is involved whatsoever. You may want to tape the connection together though since it doesn't click and could come loose over time. Something that I see plenty of people complaining about and would be nice to see addressed from the factory is the wires on the circuit board are very flimsy and could easily break. To prevent this from happening, use some hot glue or in a pinch, some silicone, and just cover the entire connection with it so that it helps keep it in place and won't bounce around and end up breaking the connection. That little bit of extra effort will help you get the most enjoyment out of the product. But for the very small price, it's a well worth it upgrade!

Well, this one is a hard one to rate without explaining the rating.I'd give it a 5 for brightness. Its almost amazing how much light comes out of that strip. However the picture shown for the product may be a little misleading... at least it was to me. I would need two sets of strip lights to get the same illumination in the photo.I'd give it a 3 for quick install. Like others said, the wire that would run between the existing trunk light socket and the center of the LED strip was too short for my car... that is if I wanted to mount the LED strip on center. I guess their assumption was that most trunks have light sockets mounted in the center of the trunk. I ended up unsoldering the wires on the strip light and soldered on a longer wire, thus making an extension, and used the same bulb socket/plug that came with the strip lights. That worked fine.I'd also give the wiring harness/plugs a 3 for quality. Having read these reviews before installing I was VERY careful with the wires on the existing strip light when I received it and first started testing. I found that they only worked intermittently and it seemed to be an issue somewhere in the wiring or connectors. Again, once I soldered on my own connector, the intermittent behavior no longer occurred.So, overall I would give the product a 4. That's because I am very happy to have found a compact and affordable set of bright LED lights that are relatively easy to mount into an existing socket... that coupled with the fact that I am handy enough to retrofit as needed.I will be buying more of these in the future.

These LEDs are perfect for the truck.2 adaptors for multiple trunk connections.The 3M back sticks very wellntonupper section on trunk deck.Easy to plug together.I've blue is nice. Not to bright and you can still see everything.

Took me less then 5 mins. to install. Was a pull out the old bulb. Replace it with the new one with the wire attached to it and stick the led strip to in inner top of my trunk. Superb!! Lights up 10 times stronger then the original.I would recommend to anyone looking to have more light in there trunk.

I am disappointed that I actually spent money on this.It doesn't work - plug it in you get light, try to mount it, or expect it work after driving around and it doesn't due to loose/faulty connections/low quality materials. complete waste of money.
