Can hold my padfolio and my drink in one hand!
After struggling with a full sized portfolio at my last conference and realizing I don't take that many independent notes but rather write notes on the handouts given, I decided to look for something smaller. What attracted me to this particular one was the wrist strap and, of course, that it zippered, important when it is dangling from a wrist. My thought was, "Great, I can hold my portfolio and drink in one hand and still be able to shake hands or open doors with out juggling. What kept me looking was its features as I realized I could leave my bag at home/hotel/office and just take this without problems.I like that you can use any 5x8 pad as long as it open from the top or size. This way I can choose which is most comfortable for me and if I want to take it out to use it, it is very easy to do. The pen holder should hold any size pen as it is quite generous and also stretches. So, no problem if you use one with a comfort grip as it should easily slide in there. The area for a tablet easily held my 8" phone with the stylus I have attached to it and just because I was curious, easily held a box of Andies candies which was about double the thickness of my phone. I thought I might have trouble closing it but it easily zipped up. I read one review where someone had trouble with the card slots but I had one card in each with my license in the one with the window and didn't have a problem. The slot just above the window one is deeper so you can kind of lose a card there but it is also a great place to hide a card. As my license, AAA, debit and credit cards are all I would be traveling with, I had no problems. Now, just as a warning. There are four card slots including the window one, not five as the top is decorative and not an actual slot. I may be the only one who tried to put a card in there as well but, hey, just in case someone else is as dense as me, I thought I'd toss that in. There's a nice size zippered pocket that would easily hold some bills so you can have some cash on you, a couple of checks, a passport, etc. Nothing thick, but definitely useful. It held my business card holder with no problems. The small mesh pocket is good for change or a flash drive but, unless you only have a key not on a keychain, I wouldn't use it for that as there just isn't enough room. What did work for me was attaching my keys, by way of a carabiner keychain to the wriststrap. There is an outside open pocket. How much you will be able to fit in there is directly related to what you have inside the padfolio. Without my phone inside, my hand fit in easily. With my phone, not so much but I could put in some folded papers. With the previously mentioned Andes Candies - receipts only.On to the wriststrap. Getting it on and off was a bit difficult at first. I bought the black which doesn't show a diagram of how to do that but remembered the pictures for the brown one did. The clip was very stiff to begin with and I was just not strong enough to open it. So, I just pressed down on the part that is supposed to go down and presto, change-o, I was able to get it off and then back on. After a couple of times doing that, the tab on the clip loosened enough for me to use that to open the clip. Of course, I don't plan to take it off and on but want to be able to if needed. It comes in a very nice box, suitable for a present. It has a professional look and feel to it and while not leather, it certainly would have fooled me as it is nothing like the imitation leather you usually see. I would like to see this in a nice burgundy color but the black is quite nice. There is also a one year manufacturer's warranty which I think speaks well for the manufacturer of this product. The price was fair and I will definitely be considering giving this as gifts to others I know would appreciate it.About Sigel Enterprises -- we've all gotten the letters after buying something to let us know they hope we like it, write a review, etc, Their first letter was different. It thanked me for purchasing their product and they wanted to know what made me choose it. Wow, finally a company that wants to know what attracts their customers to their products. Okay, I'll bite and I sent them my decision making process. Imagine my surprise when I received a personal response! Within hours! I've come away with the impression that if I do have a problem with this product, I can go to them to resolve it.

They can't even put a nice pen in it? You'd think at that price, a writing pen would be included. But wait...they did put a 50 cent writing tablet in it.🤨
