Been using this for years (2012ish), wish it was cheaper
Beet It Elite Sport Shots have become a staple in my endurance and performance routine before races, and for good reason. There's substantial evidence supporting the benefits of beet juice in enhancing athletic performance, particularly in terms of endurance. However, the downside of traditional beet juice is the large volume required, which can often lead to gastrointestinal (GI) issues. This is where Beet It Elite Sport Shots shine. The shot is compact, about the size of a 5-hour energy drink, effectively mitigating the GI issues associated with consuming larger volumes of beet juice. Interestingly, many scientific studies on beet juice and athletic performance specifically used this product to avoid GI issues among participants. This speaks volumes about its efficacy and practicality. One fascinating aspect of beet juice is that its benefits can be nullified by using mouthwash before consumption. The mouthwash kills the bacteria in the saliva that are crucial for the chemical process that generates the benefits of beet juice. This emphasizes the importance of maintaining the natural process when using Beet It Elite Sport Shots.I personally use Beet It Elite Sport Shots because I can see the benefits, and the research backs it up. Importantly, this product was used in studies not because it was funded by the company, but out of necessity to ensure participants avoided GI issues. This adds a layer of credibility to its effectiveness.I avoid beet juice powders since there are no tests proving their efficacy. However, it's worth noting that consuming too many of these shots can still lead to GI issues, so moderation is key. Additionally, don't be alarmed if you notice a change in the color of your urine or excrement—this is a normal side effect of beet juice consumption.Overall, Beet It Elite Sport Shots are a convenient and effective way to harness the performance-enhancing benefits of beet juice without the associated GI issues. Highly recommended for athletes looking to boost their endurance and performance.

I received my juice and the expiration was in the middle of 2019. I noticed some people complaining of old or soon to be expired juice. I bought this because science tells us that beet juice lowers your BP. Since BP is measurable I decided to try it out. It works to lower BP! This shot is the equivalent of drinking 1.75 8oz (420ml) of beet juice that you can buy at the grocery store. If you want to know if beet juice is for you, go to the store and buy beet juice. It is about $7.00 for 32 oz. That makes it about half as much as this shot. However, after you drink 2 cups of beet juice, you'll really see what the value-add is of Beet-it. It condenses 420ml into 70 ml or roughly 1.75 cups into 1/4 cup. Does it taste bad? Well, not if you are expecting condensed beets. If you think it's going to taste like Five Hour Energy Mango then you'll be sad. It will definitely punch you in the face when you chug it. You got to think about it as doing a bad shot at a bar. Just get it down. What can Beet-it do to make it taste better? They can't do anything. It's beets! They could add something like apple juice but then you'd have to drink more of it. If you wanted to, you could dilute it. I read someone diluted it with 16oz of water. I think it's better to just down it.Any way. It also has 890mg of potassium which also lowers your blood pressure by replacing salt in your system. So it is a double whammy on BP - nitric oxide and potassium.Oh, if you didn't know, even if you are healthy now, reducing your BP lowers your chance of dying later and helps make you live longer.

This stuff tastes like beets! Sweet beets!
Only four stars because… who knows if it’s working… 🤔🤷♂️But, it’s a vegetable so, it’s probably good for me. Flavor-wise, it’s not too bad! I’ll definitely finish the box and see how I feel.

Seems Healthy
I mix mine in a larger glass of water. Maybe 8 ounces total admixture. The taste isn't too bad. The juice I received is not expired. Others complained theirs was expired.I haven't noticed any results, but I might feel a bit better. I also consume a variety of other things with this. Others complained of an upset stomach. I might get a slightly upset stomach, but I've only drunken two so far. While these might taste better refrigerated, I've only drunken mine at room temperature. I dilute, however. Some things I'm consuming with this: Pomegranate juice, tomato soup, broccoli, sweet potato, fish, b. rice, lentils, almonds, turmeric, garlic pill, L-Citrulline, vitamin, skyr, banana, protein powder. That's most of my morning diet currently. I might add ground flax seeds. Due to the high cost, I might also buy a juicer and make my own, maybe not with beets.

Bought for high elevation
We bought these for our trip to Red River New Mexico, we peaked on the switch back trail, I think about 12,400 feet. I was told to buy these and to drink them to help with the lack of oxygen. And what can I say, they taste awful, and if they helped at all, I couldn’t tell. We were only in town for 5 days, and I never did get fully used to it. As someone that has never been above 3,500 feet prior to this trip. Buckle up if you are going on some high elevation trip.
