Medha Deshmukh Bhaskaran has written a masterpiece. For long, historians have tried to ruin Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's image in India. Medha, debunks all the myths & gives accurate facts.This is the first historical fiction that I have read which has a bibliography, which clearly shows how much of research has gone into this book!This is a really beautifully woven tale, with all the accurate facts. Infact I had the opportunity of interviewing Medha on my podcast The Awaara Musaafir Show (you can find it on YouTube), where I got to learn so many new aspects of Maratha Samrajya & History, Medha also told me about how she actually did the whole research.This book is probably one of the best Historical fiction I have read this year!

Intriguing read….well researched and an inspiring story of our King Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The sacrifice he made for the Swaraj and for the freedom of our people which ignited the fire in our people’s minds to fight against the fanatical and cruel Mughal Badshah Aurangzeb.

The book came to me in good quality. Overall, the book has a great writing of Shivrai and Sambhaji Maharaj’s history. Thanks to author for writing such a complicated history in easy words for readers to comprehend. I would definitely recommend reading this book.
