Pete the Cat and the New Guy

My 6yr old amazing, adventurous, rambunctious, little "smarty-pants" Poppy-Girl is a huge fan of Pete the Cat.With our boys, I could not seem to get into the Pete books for whatever reason. Even though they all three seemed to be a fan as well--at the time (6-8 yr age range).However, just as in every other conceivable way, its different with Poppy-Girl! She loves and insists on visiting the works of Pete every night for bedtime storytime.We and/or I, can never seem to read just one. Even after she's snoozing away! I always keep reading for a bit after she appears to be sleeping. Therefore, its not always the 6yr old that chooses to keep on the Pete train!So.....short story made incredibly long, we love Pete the Cat!Side note: we have just discovered there's Pete the Kitty and have read one of those books as well. Kitty Pete is super adorable!!FYI, her favorite PTC book atm is "The Petes Go Marching (In)"..."Boom Boom Boom." 🥰

Pete always has a wonderful story to tell and lessons to learn. He’s a modern day Suess.

I read these books with my kindergardener. We have so much fun reading all of James and Kimberly's books. It is helping me grow our relationship.

Love this as a way to teach about unique gifts and talents. We all have our strengths and opportunities to work together. Including others in thoughtful ways is such a powerful message.

My grandson just loves Pete The Cat books. They are a great read and always have teaching moments in them.

My daughter is a huge fan of Pete the Cat. This is a great book about looking past differences and finding common interests. Pete the Cat is a cool, laid back cat. I have to say that I do prefer the books that were written by Eric Litwin. The ones written by Mr & Mrs Dean seem to try hard to get that same groovy feeling, but just seem to fall a bit short.

My boys love this series! We have all of the books now and the only downfall to this book is that instead of just being an audio download it is a video download. My kids would rather watch the video then look at the pages so I find myself having to disguise my phone so they look at the book. I wish it were audio only like the others. But the story line is great.

My grandson loves all the Pete the Cat books. I'm in the process on getting all of them for him. At 11 months old he has become an attentive listener whenever we read any of the Pete the Cat books. Of course I know all the songs. Pete the Cat is very popular with school age children. Pete the Cat and the New Guy will help teach them about Tolerance, Optimism and Willingness.

Who wouldn't love Pete! These books are great...buy them if you teach in Early Years :-)
