Gold Coated Green Welding Filter, 2" x 4.25" (Shade 10)

For the price, it's insanely clear and beautiful to look through. If you're tired of looking through your current lens and just immediately being transported to Breaking Bad's rendition of "the entire country of Mexico", consider buying this just for the color change - seafoam green is better than yellow/orangeish green.

I purchased this on Jan 14th so I've been using it for 2 months now pipe welding mainly. Lens is awesome makes the puddle edges easier to see I like it better than my Lincoln or ArcOne

The gold lenses is the way to go.11shade is the perfect medium for most welding applications.Careful though. The edges are razor sharp.Take a Emory file to the edges. Or just be a man.

The lens is very clear and color is more of a seafoam green not light blue like I’ve had before. But the lens is too bright for a 10 shade, even tig welding at 85 amps. A shade 11 would be great but I can’t find one on Amazon.

It's a very clear lenses but could be better. I've been a welder for over 10 years now and I can say that there is no magic lenses that will make you a better welder. But as far as currently produced lenses go, a gold lense is the best. Now the picture you see is more blue/green than actually gold/Amber. The Lanse showed up Clean and free of defect, other than a small chip in one of the corners. But it isn't in the view, and doesn't let any light through. What I don't like and this might just be a glass lense thing, is there is no raised portion on the back of the lense to prevent rubbing against an inner plastic cover. But other than that I would say that it's well worth the 20$

This really does show the puddle a little better. However, the frequency of the arc has a lot to do with how well any lens shows the puddle. I have a auto dark helmet, as well, but I couldn't get the puddle clear enough for me. This is a good product that is made of glass. The gold really works. However, I have to still play with the settings on my Flux core inverter welder to dial both the lens and my welder in. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I use these for TIG and 2x4" auto lens for stick welding. I still think these glass gold lens' have better clarity than the 2x4 HD auto lenses. Greenish color with a very slight hint of blue on these.
