Eagle Claw Floating Fish Basket

For some reason, all the retail outlets have started carrying only the smaller size baskets, so I bought this because of the large size. I received this in 2 days through the Amazon Prime program. The packaging was excellent and I was very happy with the appearance. The next day, the crappie and sand bass were starting to bite and I took the new basket to the dock. First off, the basket is very large, It easily held the day's catch and the hard floating lid was sturdy and easy to use. The mesh is also very sound and solid and the spring in the bottom is very strong. Other baskets I have used were weak and I had to physically tie the basket shut to keep from losing fish (I work hard to catch fish and don't want to lose any because of basket design). I'm likely to order another one of these in the near future. Highly recommend this product.

Great product and I would buy it again but I did have to improve it because it collapses when you pitch it in the water from the shoreline which doesn’t help out your fish. But I went to Target and bought a foam pool noodle, cut it to size and zip tied it to the top so it floats.

Exactly what I wanted. Large capacity...put 25-30 slab bluegills in this easy. I'm using it on a drift line attached to my float tube. I took a kids pool noodle you can get at $ store and wrapped it around the top opening and used wire ties to secure it. Then folded the handles inside and wired them. Unhooked the float lid so I can just drop the fish into the top and they will fall in easily. Very good quality floating fish basket with large capacity. Very good product, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased this larger, less convenient basket in hopes of continuing to catch bass and catfish. As luck would have it, a week later I caught several bass and a catfish. The point of the larger size is that larger fish are less stressed and fit better. The floating feature was not that impressive, as the basket did sink with one or more fish, but may have made it easier to lift basket.

I’ve used it 10 times, It’s held up well. Had a few big hauls, 15lb-20lbs. Be carful of sneaky fish, I have lost a few. Take some Magic thread and tie the bottom cage. It works great. I’m a fisherman and I approve this product!

Well it don't float and 4 of the wires were broken and tangled were the basket would not open up. Just beware the basket is big just crappy workmanship

Nice basket but it too heavy for the float. It sinks. For $30 I would expect it to work better. I have a smaller one it has the same size float. It an eagle claw too. Must be they never tried the bigger one in the water before marketing. Other than that easy day.

Took it out on the first fishing trip after purchasing it. Tied it to my kayak and dropped it in the water at the first place I anchored. When I looked back at it a few minutes later, it was 3 feet under water. I had not caught any fish yet so it sank of it's own accord. float is not sufficient for the weight of the basket. 10/10 would not purchase again.

Love these! Bought this one to replace the old one, which after 15 years of hard use, finally fell apart. Holds a lot of fish!

Very well-made basket holds a lot of fish. Has already saved many fishes lives. By being released later

Works good to keep fish in. Acts like live well if you want to release smaller fish for larger ones

I've used a similar product but smaller. Wish it came with a chain to secure it. Maybe future versions.
