Ameriwood Home Parson Desk with Drawer, Navy

I bought this in 2021. It is reasonably sturdy for what it is made of. It supports a desktop computer, a large monitor, a large power strip, a lamp, and currently about a 4" stack of paper and notepads. I have to use risers for the computer and monitor so that I can use the space underneath them, but it all works and the table supports this load with no problem. The thickness of the legs helps with this, as does a crosspiece that runs from side to side, directly mounted to the underside of the table top. Mine had a few knicks and imperfections on one leg, but I assembled the desk with that leg in what would be a back corner and hidden from view. It was the right price and exactly the right size for the space where I needed to place it. My only complaint is that, when I got this, the drawer was not all that usable. The drawer depth (front to back) is 8.5 inches and 22 inches side to side. HOWEVER, for some unknown reason, the drawer which comes fully assembled and mounted to the desktop, only opened a little over 3 inches. The drawer is only 2 inches deep. If something got pushed toward the back of the drawer, it was difficult to retrieve it. I bought flexible plastic organizer trays and cut them to fit. Even so, only the front compartments of the organizer were usable. There is no visible way to adjust the position of the drawer stop.After using the desk for some time and busting my knuckles umpteen times trying to access things in the drawer, in frustration I yanked on the drawer repeatedly and it opened a little wider. I now have gotten the drawer to open 5 inches. So, if you get shipped one of the ones that has drawer issues, try yanking on the drawer repeatedly to see if that adjusts the drawer stop enough to make the drawer usable. I'm embarrassed to think how long I put up with, this thinking it was either poor design or poor manufacturing that left me with a drawer that was mostly unusable.

I Was Concerned About 'Assembling' This Desk Which Kept Me From Purchasing It Sooner. The AssemblyvWas Easy Because All I Had To Do Was Attach The Legs. I Read A Few Reviews About Desk Not Opening All The Way So Before I Assembled The Legs I Rubbed The Drawer Tracks With Soap Which Allowed The Drawer To Freely Slide To Open All The Way (See Photo). Revealing A Piece Of Block Styrofoam To Be Removed. The Condition Of MY Desk Is Perfect (No Nicks or Damage Anywhere). Ordered the desk for my 5yo. Came packaged well and was way to assemble. Took maybe 15 minutes with one person. The top is particle board but the legs are laminated wood. Drawer is already in the top. I will say desk drawer is a bit small (can fit printer paper in landscape direction) but it’s not a big deal for us. Will update review later on as desk gets used.

This was for my daughter's room. It's not the sturdiest, but she's had it for a couple months now and it's holding up with notmal use. I did cover the top with contact paper.

I love this desk it was small but perfect for my space (as I have a small room..), & easy to put together!! My only complaint I suppose is that it’s a little wobbly regardless of how well u tighten all the screws

Attach legs… that’s it! I couldn’t believe how easy this desk was to put together. The drawer is already attached and the desk is light. I love it 😍

This actually looks way nicer than I thought it would given the price. If you're looking for something simple and affordable that isn't an eyesore, this is definitely the way to go.

I am so happy I chose to get this desk! I had gone back and forth on a few different ones but finally just picked this one. I have built a lot of different furniture and this by far was the easiest. The drawer is already built in so all you have to do is screw in the legs. It is also very light so I had no problem moving it upstairs on my own. It arrived in perfect condition and looks great in my room!

The drawer is a lil stiff but great product

The dowels at each end of the legs appear to be a an afterthought and not planned well (stuck out too far and 2 different diameter holes), but they really weren't needed so I left them out. One of the threaded bolt receivers would not let me run the bolt too far (damaged threads?), so I added a few more washers in order to tighten.End product was a nice easy quick cheap set up as expected

I ordered 2 tables for my daughters. We wanted something simple that would fit their rooms. The tables arrived on time and with complete parts. Assembly was fairly easy, it took about 30 minutes to assemble as you only have to attach the legs to the table top.

It shipped fast, packaged well, assembled easy.But, if you plan on any kind of weight, you might have to look for something else. It stands good, but if you have anything of weight on it, just don't move it as legs are not mounted really solidly. If moving it isn't an thing your doing you will ne ok. I found just slightly adjusting its floor position the legs wobbled pretty good.

Easy assembly ... unlike most assemble yourself items this supplier provides EXACTLY the number of hardware pieces required for assembly. Don't loose or strip a screw or you're out iof luck. Have a problem with the drawer. Does not open/close evenly. One side requires an extra pull/push to even it out. Cannot figure out how to fix this. Other than the drawer problem and a few finish flaws, it's an OK piece that does the job.
