i need this for my bedside radio, but the only hole i have to plug in is for my earphone. is there any other way i can make this product useful?

It might. I have mine hooked up to the outbound line on a 4 way switcher and it does the trick. But it depends on what is causing the buzzing in your situation. If an external source is causing the disturbance then it might reduce it for you somewhat. Try unplugging all electronics nearby and let them sit for 15 seconds then plug back in, that eliminates the buildup of static electricity on the circuit boards. No guarantees but it’s worth a try to solve the interference
