Easy to use
The Fairfield batting is perfect for the charity quilts I am making. The right thickness for quilting by hand or on my domestic machine.

Wonderful to work with
Easiest batting to work with that I have ever used. Compacted for ease in snowing, does not catch in machine as you sew, but fluffs up immediately when you are ready, love it, will ever use anything else again. Is not treated, just compacted for sewing.

Perfect for hand quilting.
My wife can get at least 60 baby quilts out of this roll. We hang it on the spool, with a 60" piece of conduit through the tube, and use small chains, hooked to small eye bolts attached to the ends of the conduit. When she wants to cut a quilt-size piece, I roll it off for her, holding onto the roll to keep it from unrolling the whole thing. Then I roll the end back onto the top of the roll, and it's ready for the next one, next week. She can hand-quilt a 46x50 baby quilt in a week. If that's all she quilts on that week. She loves this batting for hand quilting.

Great for crafty products.
The batting is inconsistently spread. There are spots so thin where almost holes appear, and other spots that are lumpy. Nevertheless, it’s great for charity projects. I use it to make dog beds for the shelter. It’s cheap and goes far and actually performs well. It keeps its bounce even after washing. It’s easy enough to snip out the occasional small lump, and the thin spots can easily be avoided and trimmed out. It’s also easy to zigzag pieces together where you have to cut out and inconsistencies. The repaired section does not show when quilted into a crafted project.

Great batting for our quilt makers!
This batting is great for the 150 quilts we make each year. Unfortunately, the price has gone up and sometimes it is not available for purchase.

Poor quality
Very bad quality for the priceThis is a low quality product that is near impossible to work with. We've spent literally hours picking off lumps of poly fiber and other bits before trying to sew into blankets. It's been huge waste of time and a costly one.

Ginormous
I think I have put together 10 quilts (varying size but most queen or king) and I still have more of it to use. I think I might be nearing the end of it but it has gone a loooong way.
